Perhaps the remixers are demanding more money? Maybe they want to see how well they sell without remixes? They could be saving up for a remix album, you never know. AVEX is pretty sneaky.

Yeah! Avex just stops releasing Ayu remix albums until everyone is dying to hear new remixes! When new remix albums will be released then, everybody will buy them!

They're sooo sneaky at Avex!

duh, the reason is money. the economy has been bad so avex has cut back to save money.

say's who? how do you know? maybe one will come out soon. we still haven't heard those remixes that have been confirmed to come out.

when remixers mix songs, the remixers charge money. and with ayu's declining popularity and the jpop industry not doing as well as before, avex must decide on ways to cut back. i admit i'm disappointed too, but oh well. i'd rather hear ayu's new songs than remixes anyway.

Hmm... last we heard of a new Ayu-mi-x was over a month ago, while the next single already has a name and possible release date. So while I'd so want a new album to be released, well.. as you said, remixing songs cost money, so if Ayu won't have any new mixes, I'd be quite disappointed...

Old topic..... but quite interesting.....
BTW, u ppl know what i miss the most ?

Usually, there was at least (actually only one) one "D.M.X" remix on every ayu's single, starting from TO BE until UNITE!
After those, the only "D.M.X" remix(es) available were on ayu-mi-x 5 non-stop mega mix. The "D.M.X" remix(es) found on ayu-mi-x 4 NSMM were taken from the single(s), so they weren't new remix(es). All "D.M.X" remix(es) always GOOD, so i kinda miss them so much, prolly this "D.M.X" was the most expensive remixer in Japan ? And I know avex had released a CD called "Dub Music Box" consisting all remix(es) done by Izumi Miyazaki for avex artist(s), not only ayu, but also D.A.I.....

Sigh... ..... i want the 10 track(s) single back....
But, i'm still excited about the INSPIRE tracklist.... well, if only they put one or two remix(es)... then i'll go crazy again...

Yeah...I miss the remixes, and I don't know why the remixes went down. There used to be a whole lot I remember.

I alos miss her Ayu-mix and Acoustic Orchestra albums.

I dunno why, but you make me laugh so hard! That thing about Avex being sneaky (and from Piccolo) too just made me laugh.

I can just so imagine soem Avex workers snooping around the headquaters discussing secret profit plans on Ayu's remixes.

honestly....
i think having so many remixes is kinda insane..and some of them are so garbage..and RARELY any of the remixes are better than the ORIGINAL.. and plus.. true some remixes are good..but its kinda stupid to have 10 track maxi singsles with have the the remixes being crapppp..

I admit that I don't always like her mixes, but I find that it adds variety to an otherwise "empty" single (that is... singles which might have 1-2 original songs and accompanied by remixes). I understand the viewpoint of Avex and how they see releasing singles with 1-2 tracks to be much more cost-productive than hiring remixers and spending lots of money, only to have the single sell just about as much as a smaller single. But... the way I've seen it, if I don't like an original mix, I can just switch over to another mix. If a song is too slow, I'll just hear a trance remix and be content. That's how I've seen it in the past, but over the past year, I've seen that singles with few tracks have sold just as well as (and at times, more than) singles with 10 or so tracks.

I'm satisfied with 4-track singles. At least we're not getting two track singles like the recent Hikki one...o.o

I miss the remixes, but nothing compares to her originals. It's all amazing music and it's a shame there will be no more ayutrance or ayuromix's.
