No, B'z would still win in this case Soba ni Iru ne's weekly sales never exceed 100K. It's just she sold around 40- 50K per week for the first six weeks.. On the other hand, B'z first week sales were always above 150K. B'z would be no. 1 anywayz (and even ayu if she battled w/ Aoyama, cuz ayu's first week sales were always above 60K at least).

And I kinda think this could be true. Just look at their ringtone downloads/mp3 downloads. It's easy to just upload a self-made ringtones to the cell rite? But they always purchase them instead of making them. That is why Flavor Of Life could have more than 7 million (legal) downloads in just one country.

Anyway i don't think aoyama can pull out another longevity single anytime soon. Some debut artisit managed to achieve instant success initially, and their subsequent releases usually drop by alot...until they release another hit single.

Hirahara Ayaka's Jupiter is a really good example then LOL. It sold like crazy (at that time), and people called her "the next hikki" or whatever.. Then she was like sinking back to the bottom after that famous single..

I love the fact that even on Friday, the drop was really small compared to the previous day, and it would be nice if the sales don't drop below 3 k for a few days and I am pretty sure the Thelma girl was a one hit wonder...Even people like Yuna Ito or ayaka didn't last long.

'Jupiter' just sold that much because it was like the theme of the earthquakes happened in the end of 2003 (or 2001, I don't remember). People of the destructed village started to listen to the song because of the strong lyrics and it was a mega boom.

Anywayz, I dunno but I have a feeling not wanting to look at the index for the next two days. If Shuchishin beats ayu, they will no matter what avex did tonite (like... making megaposters, giving athat 4.8 anniversary photo, a mirror, 2 clear files, etc..)

Oricon will not update till ~2.5 hr later. Let's say in this way. Shuchishin shall get over 10K index (logically). If ayu can pull above 8K tonite, then we'll have another long day before we know who will win eventually. BUT that only applies if Shuchishin is just 10K. If they're above 14K, then we dun need to care about Sunday index anymore, cuz this boyband will surely win..

The point is... right now their difference is 8961 (index). That means for the next 2 days ayu's index must not be averagely 4000 lower than SCS. But Natsu Style (a Japanese site doing prediction about the sales/indexes) predicted that SCS's index for Sat and Sun will be around 12K per day, while ayu's index will be about 4.5K per day (URL: http://blog.livedoor.jp/ustan777/archives/51273104.html). I think their guess is pretty logical except that I hope ayu's index should be at least 5K per day for the next two days..

Edit: Of course, like Luv said, the actual sales may be higher in the end. Cuz the factor is not always 1.75. The recent example is that Hikki's HEART STATION first week factor was 1.78, which was 0.08 higher than usual album factor (1.7). The thing is, if the overall index for SCS is like 2000 higher than ayu, I dun think ayu could win even if her factor is more than 1.75..
