Hi!
I'm trying to get into Seiko but it's way more difficult than I thought.. her discography is really HUGE x__x

Any advice for what to start from and where I can download them? ^^

Try one of the best album box sets. Such as the Diamond Bible or Seiko Suite.
The Diamond Bible should be available here on AHS if you search for it.

Sounds so much better than all the radio rips I have. She was guest/host on many radio programs before release, to promote, most of the album tracks were broadcast on radio.
The title track is my favorite of the new JPop songs.

Another picture with alan. This is from a recording of Fuji TV's MUSIC FAIR. Both will be guest on 5/7 episode of the show. She refer alan as nakayoshi, which is the Japanese word for close or good friend. I find that cool. Also everytime she mentions alan, be it on her blog or twitter, she uses the nickname "RanRan" (or LanLan). Is that official I wonder, perhaps I should ask in the alan thread.

Oh, and those outfits, almost matching, aren't they?

Yeah Seiko! I would've chosen her too. That's funny the 20 year olds chose AKB. They're HUGE right now but who knows how long that will last?

Saw that too. Total domination on all ages. I approve what the 30 and 40 age group voted. Most of those artists are my favorite. Kyoko Koizumi was super popular, if you watch Japanese TV from 80's it's no rare sight to see her name mentioned, music played in the background, or posters visible on the wall. She was more or less everywhere. She also has a open and fun personality. Not to forget that she is still active. Momoe, well she is the legend. It's impressive that the 20 year olds group voted her in the top 3. It's a fact that she retired a good 10+ years before they were even born.

Only two days till Cherish album release. There has been next to none promotion. Except for the track "Arigatou" which was played on radio three weeks ago. I can reveal that it is a ballad song.

oh my gosh! I didn't know that Saiko Matsuda played that woman from Hanazakari no Kimitachi e drama!!! oh that's why her face seemed so familiar to me!!! I can't believe she was 45 then!!! I thought her character was like 28 or 30 or 33 at least!! oh my god *____*

this woman is amazing, totally adorable.

① Oh, wow, this news just came in a few days ago. Apparently Seiko's going to perform at the Yoshi's San Francisco Jazz Club (Japanese Restaurant). I'm not sure whether she did these kind of gigs when she promoted the English albums or not. Might as well be her on stage US debut? A pleasant surprise, happy for the fans in San Francisco.

Correct. It's one of the tracks from the SUPREME (award-winning) album. Shoko has sung Seiko's songs on several occasions. I have two other performances on my HDD.

There is a rumor about a new English song. Might be an America release. Titled "One Of These Days". Or it's not exactly a rumor, but the lack of information I have about it for the time being.

It would be nice. Seiko is one of the Japanese singers that I like her English songs.
