I know what you're saying though I'm not being biased here but I think Brit's Blackout album has created the dark synth in pop music

Blackout released it on 2007
The Fame released it on 2008
Lady Gaga maybe did help in that territory but Brit did created the trend starting from the Blackout album

Didn´t like Till the World Ends at all. it sounds too Ke$ha...and not only for the lyrics. I hope the album is more like HIATM
