I've been playing the violin on and off for almost 9 years now but I only had private lessons for 4 of them. I'm not as good as I should be but that's okay, as long as I still remember how to play I'm fine with that! I also played a little piano but for some reason both of my hands didn't wanna move at the same time. Stupid hands...

if u talking about instruments then for some reason i find it easyer and more interesting for me haha
but i do music as an elective subject and i sing the teacher said singing is part of music she calls someones voice an instruments so does dat count LOL!!!

I have been playing piano for 15 years (private lessons for all of those years) and still playing.
Violin for around 8 years, I think. I stopped when I started college.
I really want to learn how to play bass guitar though.

And cello is the coolest instrument in the world. I saw Chantal Kreviazuk in concert and the girl that opened for her was this french girl that played that cello and sung but without words... wierd...

I played flute in 4th grade and gave it up cuz i couldn't get the fingering right. =\ No matter how much I practiced I couldn't get it and every other kid in the group got it just fine. I wanted to play violin but my mom made me play flute cuz that's what she played in high school. I tried out violin and loved it but I wasn't allowed to do that. >_< I promise whatever my daughter wants to play i'm gonna let her learn that. Even if it's something that sounds TERRIBLE when you're new at it, like saxaphone.
