Opinions on COUNTDOWN LIVE 2004-2005

i haven't watched it whole, but i think it's a nice concert.. it is A SHOW, not a costume show-off programme, you watch it dfor rthe spectale, for the fun and for how she sings, and she does it quite well in my opinipon, comparing with the arena tour 04. i want to see ayu's forgetting her lyrics and faliing! well, i will give this one a 9! i'm even considering get the dvd so... whay i don't like is that she almost always ends up crying! on the one hand it touches me, on the other it's boring to me, i prefer when gackt cried just once and you remember it quite well...

just watched it last night, and i'm very sorry to say that i was dissapointed, her voice wasn't in a good condition, which was too bad, because i was expecting a WONDERFUL performance for some songs, the costumes are good, stage was average yada yada

one of the things i like about this CDL is the talking-sessions, they were all so funny (that lightened-up things a bit, didn't it?) especially on Trauma, can't stand that...

and the performance of M was PERFECT, the best M performance ever, her vocals were [confusingly] great at that time [and confusingly went bad again after CAROLS-which was great too]

the opening [WHATEVER, immature] were bad IMO, only because of her voice, i don't know, maybe her voice went bad in some songs [esp. WHATEVER, immature, Duty, TO BE, Key ~eternal tie ver.~] because she doesn't usually perform those songs? i don't know....

and of course, the INSPIRE performance that i've been waiting for, that was absolutely bad, except the acapella part, however she did good at that part [and went bad again soon after...]

other songs from the new album [Humming 7/4, walking proud, winding road] are just an okay performance IMO,

so after watching the whole show, i was pretty disapointed yet a little pleased with some things, so i think CDL 04-05 is just okay

i quite agree that her performance of whatever is disappointing...but looking at her past concerts, the first song is usually out of key. the classic example is 'connected' in one of the CDL...

Well i thought when she performed Connected and Whatever, she was singing it in another key and it seemed more natural for her. Her voice sounded much more powerful and richer (although a bit hoarse), and not so thin like in the CD recording. I wish she sang more LIKE THAT in her lives. I just hate it when she has to artificially inflate her voice by making it nasal.

I don;t see why people think that Ayu goes off-key when she sings songs in a different yet consistent key.

Concerning the CDL I'm currently watching it so I'll tell you what I think about it too ^_^

I love the extra footage they included on the DVD! The bloopers are hilarious, and there are SO many of them included that it was well worth the money. The concert was OK.. good for some laughs (especially Princess Yoko's singing when Ayu introduces the band during "Inspire"... Oyeeesh!). I also enjoyed the part before the encore when she asked the whole band about their New Year's resolutions.. those were interesting to hear!

Also, there seems to be a bit of confusion about what she said during "Trauma." She didn't say "boku ga wasuretai yo," she said "Kashi wo wasureta yo" which means "I forgot the lyrics!" Then, after that she said "zenzen wakaranai yo."

To me, though, it was SO fake that she forgot the lyrics. Anyone can remember those easy lyrics, and another thing is that she didn't even falter. She started out humming it right away, without even thinking about what the lyrics were. Then she starts singing it and breaks into humming again, as if we believe that she doesn't know the lyrics! It seemed a bit fake for me, maybe to get a cheer out of the audience.

Mmm, I did not like this concert. She sang almost all the songs that I HATE (Humming 7/4, Boys & Girls, Trauma, INSPIRE, Fly high, AUDIENCE, evolution, flower garden, independent) When the concert started, I was impressed "OMG, she will sing WHATEVER, great!" but When she started.... I felt... "What's goin' on with her voice?" Maybe CAROLS. M and walking proud was the best, but where is Dearest, TO BE, monochrome, GAME, Because of you, No way to say, forgiveness, Endless sorrow, Memorial address, HANABI ~episode II~, vogue, SURREAL... if she can sing Boys & Girls... why she didn't sing "Real me", "ourselves" or the fantastic "RAINBOW" so, I'm waiting for the ARENA 2005, it seems SO MUCH BETTER than this one.
