index is NOT the actual sale number, but use some very inaccurate method to get the result, so it is not able to compare it(i.e. it won't mean ayu will sell more than SCREAM), so we just forget the number, and it is the best response the number

i believe the daily rank is meant to be a daily download stats

Yes, people are buying less now. I was just watching an old Morning Musume thing from 98 or 99 and they were going over the first week sales for their single Koi no Dance Site and it had sold over 600,000 copies in the first week and it wasn't even #1 for that week! So yes, sales across the board these days are just lower. That's why people saying Heaven will sell a million copies is just very unrealistic.

Hopefully we will get the official sale numbers for fairyland from Oricon soon.

I really agree with you. So dont be always comparing the number with the past. Ayu can still be no.1, that is 'nuf.

I think the internet has a big deal to do with low sales.
