Well I just barely got my Secret CD in the mail O_O;;
so I was warming up to both Secret and Black Cherry. As much as I love Kuu, I think this wasn't up there. My favorite album is still "secret" which had stronger tracks than "Black Cherry"

And s1012h, because your statement "it's Koda and Ayu" is a bit questionable. Koda's fame was just a year ago O_O

took the words right out of my mouth.

Then you can look at the initial reviews of Secret in the older threads, it's a lot of postive and hardly any negative, compared to Kumi's CD.

Even in Koda-focused areas, the album is disliked. So, your argument kind of fails there.

And there are Anti-Ayu people here too. :\

Actually, OUTGROW had 9 songs that were released as singles/digital single before the album came out. I think (m)u had 8 released and 6 new songs? (not including interludes)

Of course, that's a Koda forum. Looking elsewhere is the best method. Ayu's album was really received well in a whole lot of big forums, even Utada's and Mika's. I bet JPM and T-N also like Secret.

The people there love Secret too.

Black Cherry however garnered a whole lot of negative reviews no matter where you go too. Only her fans loved it. It's really pointless arguing about the album, a majority of people who aren't her fans didn't like it, it's going to sell well regardless in Japan anyway, the end. Even if it wasn't very bad, the hype among music-lovers outside Japan just killed it.

That one was directed to th. I was trying to prove that in a koda thread/forum/whatever, the album is still liked.

I didn't mention anyone hating Secret.

Exactly. Only her fans loved it. I agree with you on this.

I agree with those points. It's true that the album just released. "BC" needs time for some to grow on them. Like me. And yes. It's an Ayu forum, so it's pretty much expected. I'm sure some Ayu fans that don't even listen to Koda voted anyway. This poll is almost pointless.

But Anthony brought a good point. And that is the fact that the album isn't very well-loved either. Well, at least not as much as I expected people to be. While some newer fans love it, I think most people from the "secret" time prefer that style, like me. Though, some older fans still love "BC".

Still haven't heard "Secret"...

Yeah, I'm not too sure that's the first day sale either. I think those are for overall top sellers.

Yeah, I'm starting to doubt that it's the overall sales. XD Because there's no way Ayu beat KAT-TUN.

If what you said is true, Keishi, then Ayu would have sold 69,000 copies of Secret on the first day of it's 4th week.

I hope you realize that you posted those figures in the Year End Oricon Charts thread. They're the total monetary value in yen per artist.

I have a feeling that BC won't get to a million, but it'll get close.
After all, this isn't a best.
