I actually much prefer the second half of GATES OF HEAVEN myself, but then I didn't like any of the singles.

But then again, I don't listen to DAI much anymore.

Since the DAI Forum considers ELT and DAI rivals, I think ELT's the better one. It's weird though because a lot of the people on that forum only know one Japanese band, DAI and won't try/haven't tried others.

I remember when I only knew Do As Infinity and Ayumi, and I almost tried not to like any other bands, especially ELT because I thought of them as rivals. Strangely enough I found "Grip!" and couldn't help but fall on love with ELT...

Did anyone listen to "TAO"? You can find the sample on j-poop. It's alright, but you can't really tell from just the sample...

Meh Tomiko fanboys are overwhelming...

Well I say just let them compare. Frankly I couldn't even be bothered to give a damn about how they could be rivals of each other, it's just ridiculous. I know the only thing I care about is the music, and it's beneficial to have an open mind instead of being obdurate and acting like morons. Why wasting the opportunity of being exposed to more artists that you haven't heard before? I mean, at least give them a try because a lot of these artists actually work hard and they deserve it.

I think DAI's music is becoming less intense arrangement-wise which I like, although they better be aware that some of the melodies in their songs are really "random" now.

DAIForum is a lot like Utada-Online in that aspect.

Honestly, I dislike comparing artists. Especially if I buy from both, certainly I'll like one more over the other but still....as long as the music is good from both camps, I'll be satisfied.

[Insert artist/band] vs. [Insert artist/band] are always pointless.

Funny how I think the demise of DAI's music pretty much went at around the same time with Tomiko's hair. o_O' ("Honjitsu wa seiten nari" just did it for me)

I like the first line of the TAO sample, until they decided to repeat the exact same line over again in a 30 sec clip...

I heard a quick CM sample of "TAO" over in Japan - just an average rockish ballad from them. Nothing new, nothing amazing, but I'll save my comments till the full song comes out.

i've seen the covers of TAO and i think they look cheap, i expected better covers, sth like shinjitsu no uta, they look so ordinary, like magazine pictures [i don't know how to describe them], very un-special,

but Tomiko looks beautiful though. to see the cover see www.d-a-i.com and go to the latest news page, you'll see...

The image of the CD version of the cover is pretty, I like it. Haven't seen Tomiko this pretty in awhile, the font choice and placement of the type is pretty bad though.

Ban-chan looks quite pretty - almost as if she lost a little weight. The background looks as if it was shot in some desert or something, probably to emphasize their "finding a way" and all, like what "TAO" means.

Having said that, the cover is quite plain. I dunno, Avex seems to be cutting corners on jackets nowadays. First Ayu's summer single, now this. =X

^Haha i agree The Tao and fairyland covers are really really simple... but i have to say, the covers for Tao are really really nice. Van is really beautiful. She lost weight! Yay! She was quite chubby in the robot mv so im glad she looks a little thinner now

In fact I like the TAO covers much much better than the fairyland ones.

The PV's so beautiful, haven't seen one this good from them in years. And to my surprise, the song turned out better than I thought and the intro's very nice.

Heh. I seem to be the only one that doesn't like the song or the PV. The only thing I like is Ban-chan's dress..><;

*Hasn't really been impressed by anything since 'Field of dreams', 'Weeds' and 'D/N/A'...Awesome album tracks*

I hope they have something soon I like, but I'm glad so many people like their latest stuff, though none of it seems to have grown on me...

I think TAO's better than the singles that preceded NYL. If the cover wasn't so...er....paint-y. I'd get it.
