Well 203k is #2 and 78k is #5. #3 and 4 are Secret and BESTYO.

I think it's undeniable that her sales are really dropping alot in Japan. But you can see just from this forum itself, she still has many supporters outside Japan too. So, don't fret. No matter what, she's still who and what you like even if she isn't selling like hotcakes anymore in Japan.

My non-ayu fans friends happen to see Jewel PV and they were really impressed. They say no matter who they compare ayu to koda kumi etc, Ayu still seems like the Queen of Japan.

I would think it would sell better too. It's much better than m(u). Not that I dislike m(u), I just think that this album is techically better. But maybe more people will buy it for X-mas gifts? We can only hope it gains some "momentum."

^ well, it could be due to m(u) that alienated her fans and caused some of them not to buy this new album, because to me, m(u) was her worse album released and some people might agree that the album could have been better, therefore, after the m(u) album, some of the fans might not buy secret thinking that it would sound like her last album, even though the secret album was a whole lot better in my opinion

i honestly think that non ayu fans wudnt know at all that this is a good album..

1) the singles for this album are ordinary n weak, compared to the album tracks.

2) the singles released b4 this album does not at all reflect what the album is all about. Secret could be categorized as a rock album, overall.

3) this is a rock album yes, n ayu is using JEWEL, a ballad to promote it everywhere, which again, another misleading act. How are people suppose 2 know? i wud ve thought that this is another ordinary poppy album, judging from all the singles n JEWEL itself. She needs to start performing 1Love n Kiss o' kill already! That wud ve boosted up the sale skyrocketedly.

we need to remember that non ayu fans dont get a preview listens of the album like we do. Not all of them go to avex site n listen to the 30 sec preview of all songs. They mostly judge the album based on the singles n the songs ayu perform to promote the album. They dont, by any way, know that kiss o' kill is an awesome rockish track as well as Until that Day..

its all cuz of the wrong approach in promotion..
but words of mouth is gonna help a bunch, in this situation.. lets just hope people in japan does talk a lot :">

Everyone has their ups and downs. And 'sides...#4 or #5 is still a damn good rank no matter what, much more than a rush job like Secret probably deserves.

Ayu is so well known for her ballads or pop music. It would be a bit a shock to promote her album with rock songs.
I agree it is much more rock album though.
