AHS married to Maro
~13/1-2010~

Spoiler:
We had such a nice time. We started dating in t2m PV, took it slow you know, let our love grow. Then it got really serious in 2008. Then after AT2009 we moved in together. It was lovely. Then on AT2010 he asked me to marry him. He was such a sweet. And Ayu gave us our blessings. She was also such a sweet. Now me and Maro are such a sweets together. Aaaw, how time flies.

I haven't checked any news about her for some time and come here to find that her contract with avex ended. It's sad, I LOVE her Japanese stuff, I won't even stanning her if it's not because of her Japanese stuff. But I enjoyed C-Pop anyway, guess it'll be alright for me..

No more japanese music from alan??? T__T that is really sad.
Even though I didn't like her newer stuff, Voice of EARTH is one of the best albums ever made and her voice in general is special. Since I don't listen to C-pop I guess I won't get any new music from her (in the near future)....

Well there's still a chance she might release Japanese song, but imo, there's a very low chance...

I find it sad that some people starts to appreciate alan after she's gone

^ I know

Some people are blaming Avex for lousy advertising..in all fairness they gave her great tie-ins..but I guess she never had a huge hit after RED CLIFF, and even that wasn't really big. The public just didn't take to her. I'll miss alan's Japanese music too, although I was worried this would happen after the super-expensive Best release.

I think the only good tie-ins she got was RED CLIFF, BALLAD, and Diamond...the rest was just crappy >_>

She got tie-ins for a cookie CM, a health drink (for the elderly lol), and boring historical movies/dramas.

Yeah, Avex didn't really do her any favours to the right age-groups. Bands/singers that appeal to the 11-18 year old range do the best in Japan right now, and with her tie-ins, it would of made her get a stereotype of being a boring classical singer..it's a shame.

I think alan knew this and decided she was going to give her all to China, rather than being far away from her family all the time and juggling her career between seperate countries, and not getting huge hits in either.

Maybe avex got sick of her lackluster chart position and sales. After all, this stuff ain't cheap, and alan isn't racking in the money. Of course, that's pure speculation on my part.

I'm gonna miss her Japanese career, but I do like it when she sings in Chinese so if she does more Chinese songs I'm cool with it.

yeah they probably didn't like the sales but why make so many repepetitive happy songs?? she should have sticked to Ashita no Sanka & Gunjou no Tani ethnic style, definately. because I think that's just her talent to sing songs like this! epic & ethnic = amazing. plus use Leslie Kee & some desert-forest-water Pvs. it should have worked, I think...Voice of Earth was amazing in music videos & concept & photography. that's the only album I liked, because the second album sounded boring, simple & flat.

Happy songs ???? Swear, Koko ni Iru and that's all, XD
Since Kuon no Kawa alan get a lot of songs with ethnic style (BALLAD, Kaze ni Mukau Hana, Ai wa Chikara, Kanashimi wa Yuki ni Nemuru)
And she already did desert and forest PVs
Ashita e no Sanka, Kaze ni Mukau Hana - Desert PV
Ikiru, Gunjou no Tani - Forest PV
Megumi no Ame - Water PV

But i'm with you, she had to released more songs like Gunjou no Tani .
And yep, Voice of EARTH is her best album, everything was perfect

She didn't sell THAT horribly in comparison to a lot of singers though. I mean, she wasn't huge, but she sold a lot better than a lot of other artists that still have contracts.

Is it possible that she chose herself to not continue with Avex?

^ Even though she didn't sell horribly, but Avex invested a lot more in her, so they lost more money~

I see some making offs, and honestly the pvs and the covers are really simples, and the good pvs are filmed outdoor, so they don't have to pay for a set, effects, lights, and blah blah blah.
If the money was the problem, i think they could stop her career before, but they keep with her releasing more singles.
Maybe avex doesn't see more future for her.
sorry for my english,XD

The old outside pvs were good like Ashita e no Sanka and Gunjou no Tani, but Ikiru was just lazy.

I don't think it's safe to assume that avex lost money on her.

And quite frankly don't see how anything is avex fault, people always blame the company it's ridiculous, forgetting that they would not even have known her name had it not been for avex

making her release in japan to begin with was taking a huge risk. She's a foreigner and didn't speak japanese when she started off in japan. For that reason only she would be more difficult to market, regardless of her talent.

sounds to me like this could've been more or less a mutual decision though. =)

I'm sad she's not going to release anymore in japanese at the moment. I Prefer her singing in japanese to chinese and she'll probably release less frequently. =( She has such a wonderful voice. I don't think she'll have a hard time finding work though, she's got a beautiful face and a wonderful voice. =)

Yeah Chinese singers usually take forever to release anything because they just release albums and no singles. But it's not like she's not jobless right now...she's most likely already working on her next Chinese album lol
