so it's official! mika is in the new resident evil movie. of course, we've seen the trailer already so it's nothing new, lol. but there are news articles on it now, and....a poster!

Nakashima Mika's appearance in the latest film of "Bio Hazard" (known as Resident Evil outside Japan) has come to light, in the role of the first infected person who triggers the whole story.

As for the casting of Nakashima, Director Paul W. S. Anderson said...
"Mika was really fantastic. I thought this film should be located in Tokyo where the game was born. And I wanted real Japanese, not one in Hollywood, to play the first infected person who would be the start of everything in the series. This inevitably required the appearance of Japanese actress. Milla Jovovich had been aware of Mika, and I also know Mika through YouTube. Thus I chose Mika following my own instincts."

And also he praised her a great deal...
"Although Mika had been thoroughly wet for hours in a severe cold, she played the nonspeaking role fantastically only with facial expression and movement, without losing her concentration."

The unveiling of the film will start at the world premiere held in Tokyo just as the story starts in Shibuya. Mika will be on stage with Milla at the world premiere on Sept. 2. The new "Bio Hazard" will be starting from the place where the two will meet for the first time in a year after the shooting last October.

Nakashima commented :
"I could hardly believe when I first heard about this matter. Though the filming was done at the cold time of the year, I was struck by the kindness and the warm support of all of the staff."

i've been seeing commercials of this movie on TV, but i couldn't spot zombie mika lol.

I wish I could do that but the poster is mounted on the wall , I just can't yack it off so easily ;__;

.. although that could mean, you'd be standing there an awfully long time~! LOL

but looking at your pics again, can't you find out when they're gonna replace the thing??

I actually didn't noticed the mounted poster of Mika initally as I was engrossed listening to music from my mp3player

Also I usually don't passed by that place often with it located downtown of Singapore

But yeah it's a rarity seeing it . I mean , those major department stores located downtown have Kanebo booth stands but I never saw them using pics of Mika in any single bit

Well not until a few days ago outside of Watson <3

Although I had seen someone using her picture on an ad(?) posted on the bulletin-board at a chinese grocery store..
It was written in Chinese and I doubt it had anything to do with Mika
