It's more like Namie's or Kumi's song, it's not that bad but it isn't good either. DREAM ON is worse IMO. But yeah, I don't fancy both. I have no effin' idea what's with the ballad-y theme for this album. It should be Rock'n'Roll Circus. ayu should understand that if she's feat. someone she should sing more than that person. It ruins the whole feeling of the song that way. Naoya should become the backing vocal instead.

The song sounded promising at the beginning...and the rest hit hell bottom; too repetitive, cheap sounding and boring.

This might sound weird but having heard BRILLANTE, it makes ANother song so much better to me. Because it really signifies that if Ayu wanted to make an out of this world, creative, epic song she can. But if she just wants a chill, not-up-to-her-usual-caliber-but-still-nice song, she can. This song was pure decision and not because she's lost her spark or anything. I can respect it a lot more now, plus I'm beginning to really like it lol.

I really didn't want to be mean, but I don't like Urata's voice here, sounds like some gay uncle XO but yeah this song lacks emotion

At first when Naoya started singing I thought something was wrong with the song, because he sounded so freaking feminine that I thought I was listening to some woman and I knew it wasn't Ayu's voice so I was so confused for awhile until I realized he just sounded... well, girly.
And this stupid hiphop beat. This has no place in an Ayu song. It's so wrong. Ughhhh. Just no.

Currently listening to this song. I know when I first heard the drum beat, I thought of koda Kumi!!! It's so RnB ballad-kind of song! I can listen to this more often. I think it's not so bad and I agree it's better than Dream On because Ayu's and Naoya's voices are not colliding like competing with each other's voices!
About the PV, all I can say is that Ayu is so beautiful with dreadlocks! [EDIT]: I just don't get why the keyboards don't syncronize with the drum beats or isn't it purposely done?

I didn't like PV, it's so boring! I hoped PV would save the song, but it's the same level as the song lol XD
but still, I'm curious about TV performances. may be it will be good to see them performing it ~.~

LOL, posted in the wrong thread.
Meh, I still nearly hate this song. It doesn't get any better listening to it again.

Yeah, you can definitely add me to the group that likes this song
![]() Ayu trying a full out R&B song was an awesome experiment and the song is just so pretty. It has this atmosphere and character that I really really love. I did hear it the first time while watching the PV though, so that possibly helped? Cause the PV is really awesome xD But yeah, I love this track. It beats out Why... and beloved for me, tbh. I love the arrangement and the mellowness of it all - as I said, I feel like this song really has character in a way. It's hard to explain but I love what I'm hearing~

Its not as bad as I thought it would be. After a few listens it does grow on you, especially the chorus. Decent composition as well. Its far from a "full out R&B song" but probably as close as Ayu will get to it. Its mostly synth/piano based with a RnB/electronic influenced programmed drum. Has more in common with an electro-pop song than a R&B song.
I'm glad she's experimenting with different sounds, and this is far from a disaster. Last edited by Tony G; 29th August 2011 at 08:36 AM. |

The first thing i thought is: Could she re-record teh song alone please?
His voice is too melodic and in any case i find the song in complex too repeatitive but pleasant in a certain way.

The song itself honestly isn't bad. The problem is the people singing it... and yes, I'm including Ayu. It's a very easy listening, nothing really complicated or intricate going for it type of track, it's the type of song you can only pull off when you have a very smooth, strong voice which neither of them have. Their voices make what is supposed to be an easy listening experience more strained and tiresome (and to mention just plain painful).
I don't hate the song or even dislike it, if Ayu and Urata weren't singing it I'd probably even say I really like it. Oh well. It is what it is. And to those saying Ayu and R&B don't mix: I hope you aren't forgetting Real Me, ourselves, Pride and In the Corner? All had R&B influences and they were awesome.
