Do ppl say/tell u that your obsessed with Ayu?

Well its summer holidays now, and I cant be bothered doing anything cuz its so hot, so all I do is sit in front of my computer (while gaining some weight >.<) and surf the internet and watch Ayumi videos all day…my mum always walks by and tells me im crazy with Ayu and that im too obsessed with Ayumi, so im just like MUM! be quiet!

My friends also tell me im obsessed with Ayumi, and they say im a lesbian bcuz I like Ayumi and I also haven’t been out with any guys…grrrr so annoying

Oh! my goodness!! I have the SAME experience!! My parents are always asking me why I'm so obsessed about Ayumi, and I've come up with the BEST response:
"Would you rather have me listening to Ayumi, which is Japanese music I can't understand, or Britney Spears, and watch her sex-oriented concerts?"

Good point, huh? I thought of it all by myself.

Yeah, my sister said I am crazy to be listening to 'Ayu's screaming' and why I am putting Ayu's wallpapers on the computer screen. But I think she's just so cute!!

Nope, I just listen to Ayu, but not all the time. I'm not obsessed.

I listen to move much more that Ayu and other artists who are non-Japanese.

I'm not either. My sensei just says I am because I have a lot of cds. Plus a book that I made of all of her discography.

I don't think I've done a good job in extending my appreciation for Japanese Music - I have a lot of different artists, but I always end up coming back to Ayumi... so most people think I have a problem, especially because most people over here have never heard of her. I don't really have a problem though. Nope.

People don't ask me that...but I know they wonder that about me. XDD; When my friend asked "Wanna hear my ringtone?! I'm sure you'll reconize it!" I go "Ayu?!" She goes "NOO! I don't care anything about ayu or whatever!" "XDD" haha. I think she's tired of my constant obsession of her...LOL

But my parents don't seem to care.

I don't know if i'm not obsessed with Ayu or not, but for now, i just can't pass a day without listening to her songs. I'm a very bad mood person, but everytime i listen to her songs, my mood change 180degrees.
I don't know if that is an obsession, could anyone tell me?!!

Hrm...nope, no one really ever tells me that. All my friends know I listen to her, and sometimes we joke around about it. Kind of like them saying, well everything is alright as long as Brian still listens to Ayumi, kind of like you might say something about "hell freezing over" or whatever. But then again, we kind of do it to each other and I joke about their music as well.

Trust me, your "obsessions" will die out one day, if that's some of you are worrying about. I still listen to Ayu, but like once every three weeks, compared to my "obsession" of like four times of each song daily back when I was all into Ayu.

^I wonder if you only really like an artist once the "obsession" passes?

Like...I used to listen to almost nothing but Ayumi, but now, I listen to her still, but nowhere near as often.

Not sure what you really mean by that, but I still like Ayu.

Blah. Let's say I'm always on the hunt for something new and return for nostalgia to remind me of whatever. I don't know, I'm babbling.

^Yeah...that was kind of unclear wasn't it? I meant, a lot of people have obsessions over artists and stuff, but once that passes a lot of times you don't like that person anymore, so maybe if you can lose that obsession and still like the artist, it means mor somehow? Haha, I can't put what I mean into words very well. o_0

^I see what you mean. (some of it, LOL)

True, some people deny liking an artist once their obsession phase has passed over.

As for me though, I still enjoy listening to Ayu and will not deny it. It's just the wow factor that has come and gone, while the recognition for Ayu remains the same.

Going to bed now.

I'm not sure either about obsession will runs out eventually coz i never like an artist like i like Ayu. I never like an artist where i buy all of his/her albums, except for Ayu. In other words i was hipnotized by her (In a positive ways, and i like it).
I was confused myself
