[2009] Your favourite Asian Album and Single of 2009
Like the title says,
now that the 2009 oricon year is over what is your favourite album and single for the year? It must have been released in the 2009 oricon year, just to give this some guidelines. Try your best to only pick one album and one single!?!  You can say music DVD too if you would like. It can be a best album too if you think it deserves the title. Feel free to explain why you think so, or you can just list them. Here's mine: Album KOTOKO - Epsilon no Fune Single Ayumi Hamasaki - Rule/Sparkle DVD Nana Mizuki - Live Fighter ~Red Side~ Perhaps I will explain why later but now it's your turn!!!

Album: Superfly - Box Emotions
Single: Hard to decide. If I could choose You Were/Ballad, I probably would. tie between Namie Amuro - Wild/Dr. and Arashi - My Girl (strictly because of the greatness of the b-sides on that single) DVD: Arashi 2008 live in Kokuritsu (just spectacular in every aspect; definitely deserves its high sales)

just 1 for each category ?!?! D: D:
that's hard but anyway Album BREAKERZ - FIGHTERZ amazing album . Way better than last year's BIG BANG ! which was a full straight on rock album For FIGHTERZ's case , it's a lot more experimental with latin , pop , jazz , acoustic , orchestra , electro , synth influences that they mixed alongside with their signature rock sound THEME OF FIGHTERZ is to me the best opening track that I came across for 2009 . Pity it's so short , it should have been longer  Single oh this's tough as I really like all the 4 BREAKERZ singles that they released this year D: but I go with their most recent one , LOVE FIGHTER ~Koi no Battle~ xD Both the A & B-sides received PVs & the dance segment making of clip is pure win 8D lots of members ai going on with a stripshow that they thrown in for free xD xD xD DVD BREAKERZ - LIVE 2009 "WISH" in Nippon Budokan I haven't watched it yet D: but soon , it's their 1st DVD somemore  I'm going to watch it later before I leave tomorrow morning for more members ai moments 8D

I was going to make a top 5/10/20 etc. list but now that this thread is made...I'll just post my top 5 here
 ~in no order~ album Seira Kagami - Celebration  SWEET BLACK feat. MAKI GOTO - SWEET BLACK  Mano Erina - FRIENDS  Jewelry - Sophisticated  HANGRY & ANGRY - Sadistic Dance  single Ami Suzuki - kiss kiss kiss/aishiteru...  Kato Miliyah - WHY  immi - Alice (ya i know this is a mini album but I consider it a single so w/e)  Namie Amuro - WILD/Dr.  V6 - Spirit (the limited version w/ all the extra songs)  Missing a lot but I don't wanna do a top 10.. dvd Hello Pro Award '09: Elder Club Sotsugyō Kinen Special & Hello! Project 2009 Winter Elder Club: Thank You for Your Love!. Didn't watch a lot of concerts from this year.

HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR - swamp man First real rock album of them and I love it to death even though it's incredibly short(intro + 9 songs) Single: Nana Mizuki - Shin Ai I love Shin Ai and the first B-Side PRIDE OF GLORY is great Would have chosen You Were.../BALLAD, but it isn't out yet DVD: ASIA TOUR 2008 ~10th Anniversary~ Ayu(watching it on repeat at the moment xD)

Undecided. Single Undecided. DVD Momoe Yamaguchi - "The Best Ten" Complete DVD Box (five discs).  Complete footage of Momoe's appearances (1978-1980) on TBS' "The Best Ten" music TV show. One word: legendary. Was released only four days ago, but it's rare to be able to watch such old video in HQ. Easily DVD of the year for me.
