I'm in love with this performance:


I ripped it and I can't stop listening to it now. Their vocals are simply fantastic. Taeyeon's voice gives me chills and Sica's vibrato is like... perfection? <3

But why uniforms and this theme at all? Can somebody explain?
Where's the connection to the songs?

Tell me your wish is nice, but Gee is so much better.
MV is ok, nothing special, a little boring.
Etude is too cute for me. XD

I'm listening to the mini-album and I love it. Not a big fan of "My Child" so far, but the rest is amazing. I like the Girlfriend/Boyfriend concept. Both songs are really great! And of course Sica & Onew's duet is incredible. I do prefer Taeng & Kanta's duet though.

[EDIT] After listening more to "My Child", I actually quite like it. It's very sweet.

To be honest I don't like groups with a lot of members. And SNSD has definitly too much members. I prefer groups with four members or less.

Nine members is definitely a lot, but what's important is that the group has charisma and talent. And SNSD definitely has that.

Of course there are more important aspects but I think that such a great number of members isn't fair for every single one. There will always be members who are in front and some who don't get a chance to stand out. That's much easier with less members.
And personally I don't get familiar with SNSD because of all those members. They remain impersonal for me.

I think it really depends on the group. Not really the number of members. There are groups like Wonder Girls where everyone gets to shine on their own. While there's some groups like KARA where only 2 members really stand out.

I think it also depends on the type of fan you are. If you're just a casual listener, then of course only the ones that sings the most shine to you. Me, I've been following their news along with their TV appearances and so on for a long time. I'm a huge fan of SNSD and that's why I can tell who is who and know their different personalities. Only big fans know that Taeng is extremely dorky and hates people doing aegyo things, Yuri likes to do pranks on people, Sooyoung only thinks about eating and telling jokes, Sica has a "Sica-effect", Fany is a true American girl since she loves "Gossip Girl" and "Twilight"... With time, you really get to "know" each and every members, and they all stand out on their own.

Yeah, you're certainly right about that.
I'm just a casual listener for now, but I do like their songs (especially Gee ). It's just that I don't wanna look up every single member to get to know them better, it's too much for me, I can't keep in mind so much details about every member. Maybe my memory is just bad. XD
And to be honest I wanna see all members featured the same way in a group. That's the reason I like Wonder Girls very much or 2NE1 (so far) although they have four and five members. The more members the catchier it is.
And I think it doesn't look good on stage or photos for example, there's too much going on.

I don't like big groups, no matter what. I'll never be a big fan of any big group, large quantity is daunting for me. In general I prefer solo artists.
I think it's just a matter of personal preference.

I listened to the album and I have to say I like their first mini-album Gee much better. My fav track on Genie is boyfriend. The rest is quite forgettable for me.

I finished listening to the album and I like it better than Gee, sure Gee is better than Genie as a song .. but I like the Genie album better ~

I think overall I like the first mini-album better, but this one's still quite good. I like Genie better than Gee.

Overall, I prefer the 1st mini album too. It think it's because it felt more diverse? Cute pop, pop/rock, ballad, dance, disco pop. The 2nd mini album is diverse but overall, it's pretty pop. Merging the 1st and 2nd mini albums would make a great album though!
