yeah. i think "Time" was tons better than "Dream'A'live". i haven't even bought DAL yet. the period i really, really liked Arashi was Sakura Sake single to Time album.

i still love them now, of course, but they're really going mainstream, thus less experimental material ("truth" has been one of the better songs of late, imo). & Sho's rapping less and less by the moment.

Oh Yeah ! & ROCK YOU are awesome & Nino's solo Niji is just amazing .

You can definitely tell that compared to DAL , Time's a more stronger music effort .

I enjoyed Time a lot more than DAL although I must say overall I still believe that ARASHIC's their strongest album , musically

I'm not sure why but it's probably due to Kitto Daijoubu or maybe it's because of the 5 pickup songs that I really dig a lot especially I Want Somebody which I'm currently using it as my ringtone

Unlike the other albums I have listened of ARASHI , I needed a bit more time than before to get used to DAL considering that there were only 2 singles on the record

the drama didn't do well either in Korea...maybe it's cursed? lol

yay Time and One are my fav 2 arashi albums ever
i loooove DAL though! every song actually

im enjoying their music this year just as much as last year personally...or maybe im just blinded by my biased'ism' of everything that contains arashi is full of win

Maou - I'm not sure , maybe not everyone digs the whole suspense drama thing going on or probably they're not used to seeing Ohno being all twisted up mind & mental wise onscreen

One - it's surprising that even though only Sakura Sake's included on the album , I enjoyed One quite a lot

The non singles are really good which surprises me

DAL - some parts of the album are quite samey & un-memorable but as time goes by , I enjoyed the album just like the rest

i love all those songs! the solos...lai lai lai...yes? no?...Subarashiki Sekai...Natsu no Namae...Kazamidori...all the songs

Maou - yup that's true , I see where you're coming from .

One - I know , I was shocked that only Sakura Sake was included . They should have slotted in Hitomi no Naka no Galaxy / Hero though although I must say the non singles on the album are nice !

especially tracks like Days , Natsu no Namae & Subarashiki Sekai

DAL - the album's a grower for sure

Koe's <3 & so are the other tracks like YOUR SONG , Once Again .

not really feeling the album sleeve pics though , they all looked so pissy for some reason/s

then again their album sleeve pics are not that nice to begin with

Hitomi no Naka no Galaxy / Hero was just a promo single for their best album. It wasn't meant to be on One.

I like Hey Hey Lovin' You , it's quite interesting that all the songs on the single all start with H

DAL - I was reading Teens magazine & that they gave quite a bad review on DAL although they gave 3/5 overall which led me to wonder is the album that bad to begin with ?

It's not , really . You just need more time to warm up to the non singles that's all

I love Yes ? No ? & Subarashiki Sekai especially Subarashiki Sekai . The music transition from the song to Sakura Sake is there

I don't think JE groups in general are really album-artists, they're more geared to DVDs and singles. That's why their albums do crap sales compared to their singles. I think all of Arashi's albums are like that except Time. D"A"L is just an average JE album.

I understand where you're coming from triple D especially since you usually don't associate JE acts as strong album sellers but rather as strong single sellers

I think it always have been the norm for them to sell more singles & albums

there's only a few JE units that i really love albums from: TOKIO, KinKi Kids, & KAT-TUN. it's because they actually take part in their albums. A LOT. whether it be lyrics, composition, themes, demo-hunting, etc.

but it's true that JE is singles/DVD loaded. albums barely get the promotion the singles/DVDs get. like i've said many countless times before, only the core fanbase gets the albums. there really isn't an incentive to buy a JE album unless you're dedicated, really.

also I realise that the albums of JE acts are not like avex in that they tend to put more non singles than singles on their albums which sometimes can be a challenge for me especially if you're not the type that like an album choked full of new songs than singles

JE should do something on the DVD content of the JE acts's albums it's too stingy

but when comes to concert DVDs , it's madness I tell you

You can't compare JE and avex because they're two different types of things. avex is a record company, while JE is a talent agency. V6 is on avex but they don't sell as well as other JE artists, not even as well as other avex artists.

But I don't think Arashi is that manufactured. They've written their own songs, they've composed their own songs, they've done a lot. The only group I feel that's really manufactured is NEWS.

P.S. - Irene, how does KAT-TUN take part in their albums? Don't they have people write and compose their songs too?

It's quite sad that acts like V6 and Tackey & Tsubasa doesn't sell well as compared to their JE counterparts

Well, Koki wrote SIX SENSES and if i'm not wrong, Jin wrotes Keep the Faith with Kyousuke. But almost all the solos from the single Don't U Ever Stop(four of them) were written by them, and Don't U Ever Stop was written by SPIN. I think it's pretty awesome o.o

I really would like to listen a song written by Ohno. He is so talented, it'd be amazing.

And Maou is really amazing. Omg, the first episode was totally awesome. Can't wait to watch the second.

I was searching a new single to listen, and the name called my attention. When i listened, i simply loved totally the single. Then i listened One, and i'm here now. hahaha

i know KAT-TUN has control into what goes into their albums and finding songs that fit their style. Jin's responsible for the inclusion of "RHODESIA" in Best of KAT-TUN & "SIX SENSES" in -QoP- (& i think Kame really wanted "MOTHER/FATHER" in it since he was planning on using the demo for his solo, but went with "w/o notice??" instead). i think of the more recent units (NEWS/K8/K-T/H!S!J), they have the most control of their musical career & style image. and i'm pretty darn sure the pirate theme is allllll them.

...and since i'm the Arashi thread, LOL. i still need to finish "Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru". i started it, but never finished it. cuz it kinda got boring. but then i heard everything happened at the end. sooo, i need to get around to that.

I've never even watched the movie yet. I totally plan on it though. I really loved Matsujun in Tokyo Tower. He was such an ass!!! But I loved his scene in the bathtub....
