Whoever did Lady Gaga's promotion needs to do BoA's. She performed on Dancing With the Stars, Conan O'Brian, TRL and Miss America all over the summer without a real hit.

There are a few things that Lady Gaga has under her belt that put her ahead of BoA though. So BoA needs to get a jump start...

Lady Gaga has:

Akon.
NY Club Scene.
Writing cred for Britney (even if the songs aren't used it still got some good news).

Most importantly: Gays. We pretty much start all trends and create a lot of celebs lol.

Regarding the delay: I saw it coming. They haven't done much to get her name out. An interview with a fangirl who mostly kissed up to BoA would turn me off, had I not already known BoA.

They should have thought about a joint venture with a record label in the states that has pull with writers, producers, and pr.

Did they follow through with playing her videos on NY and CA? What is this about a photographer being harrassed?

What about people like Kylie Minogue? She's one of the biggest gay icons in the world and that obviously hasn't done much for her American career. She has like..three? hits over there. There's a lot more gay icons I can name who haven't received the same success, Madonna and Cher are one of the lucky few.

For her latest album X her management ****ed up big time with not only having poor single choices but limited promo.
When it all comes down to it promo and single choices are the most important part in guaranteeing success.

I think her English is great considering it's probably her 3rd or 4th language. I mean, everyone has some sort of accent in a different country. I give her a lot of credit for doing that interview (no matter how little exposure she'll get from it). Plus, the interviewer was a pretty big tool.

Wtf? Another delay? Srsly, they need to admit that they are too scared that she's gonna flop with EYU. Not even UTADA had delays. She just released it and she ended up getting a club bangah. SM is kinda putting too much thought into this now. BoA's promotion has been pretty decent and imo, they have no good reason to delay it. Just IDJ the damn single already. If it fails, it fails. There's nothing wrong with try'n again.

Delayed?! I don't want to jump to conclusions but if this physical release is delayed for more than two weeks without any official news regarding the matter we can kiss Boa's U.S debut for this year good-bye (but there's always next year). I hope she's in the studio finishing the last touches to the album. Or SM entertainment could have gone back to the drawing board about the promotion since the U.S video received such negative comments and the fans that harassed Boa's photographer on his MySpace (these little things can give SM entertainment a bad name)

^See that's what I'm saying. Them delaying the single still won't change the fact that it'll prolly flop the first time around. She still has plenty of time and a few more releases to get her popularity to be picked up.
