May I Have Some Recommendations?

Hey, hey people! I've realized the only J-Pop female solo singers I listen to a lot these days are Ayu, Kuu, Namie & Kana Nishino... that's all. Singers like Ai Otsuka, Yuna Ito have bored me immensely.

So, I'm on a journey in search of amazing J-Pop female solo singers. I've compiled a list to download their discography but i dunno if I should...

- Stephanie
- BENI
- Miiyah Kato
- Jasmine

Are these people good? Also does anyone else have recommendations? Thank you!

Honestly? You want my opinion? I'd go wiith... B'z and Koshi Inaba's solo stuff (can you tell I'm a huuuge B'z fan?)! But that's just my biased opinion! ^^;; *ahem* But seriously... Try Hitomi Shimatani (at most)! ^_^

judging you hard right now for not liking BoA

Singers from your list are definitely worthy listening! Jasmine especially.

I'd recommend you to check out Rina Aiuchi and Mai Kuraki... But I don't know if you like this kind of j-pop I think you would like at least some songs from them though. ^^' What I'd recommend from them:
Spoiler:
Rina Aiuchi:
first four albums
- Be Happy
- POWER OF WORDS
(first two have her most popular, eurobeat stuff)
- A.I.R
- PLAYGIRL
(the other two - typical j-pop, but also contain her popular songs + catchy tunes)
and other songs
- Black eyes, Blue tears
- golden moonlight
- green way
- akaku atsui kodou
- ORANGE★NIGHT
- Bara ga Saku Bara ga Chiru
- Powder Snow
- Nemurenu Yo ni
- Silent Motion
- Feel you
- STORY
- SUMMER LIGHT
- MAGIC
- HANABI
- GOOD DAYS

Mai Kuraki:
I haven't listened to all her stuff, so look for her BEST compilation (ALL MY BEST)

and others:
- Chihiro Onitsuka
- BONNIE PINK
- Crystal Kay
- ayaka
- melody.
- Ami Suzuki
- Mika Nakashima
- OLIVIA

Definitely ICONIQ. She's great!

The only other one I'd mention is Nana Mizuki, but I'm way biased, and I know her music isn't everyone's cup of tea. But she does have a great voice!

lol I don't really like BoA either...but I do like her upbeat heavier dance stuff...HURRICANE VENUS had some very nice songs for me.

I would pretty much recommend those that have already been recommended. Although...I think I know your tastes a little bit better than some...you probably should stay away from any artists possibly connected with YUI lol

ICONIQ, Emi Hinouchi, JASMINE...they have some gems. ICONIQ more dancy ones, JASMINE and emi are super R&B, emi mixes in pop though a little.

If you like R&B ballads, check out Miliyah Kato, Thelma Aoyama, and hiromi. Maybe YU-A.

For more pure hip hop, you might like yu yamada.

miray is good for like...bubblegum hip pop lol

mini is good for dance music. She's a newcomer. Been very impressed by her music for a debut.

Lots of hype over JUJU lately as well~

Check out SAWA too for electro/house/pop~ Because I'm trying to spread her around
