It looks like she'll release a new song in korea soon

The nation's little sister, IU who swept charts with her hit second album "Last Fantasy," plans to follow up with the release of a new track in Korea.

Nothing has been decided as of yet because IU and her agency are still discussing whether the new song will be a follow-up to her second album in the form of a repackage edition or would be released as a digital single as the production of the song is almost complete.

The singer of "You & I" is scheduled to release the Japanese version of hit track "Good Day" in Japan on March 21 and also plans to focus on her Japanese activities for the time being. As a result, IU is carefully considering all the options before announcing the release of her new song in Korea.

A representative of IU told OSEN's reporter, "IU will begin her promotional activties in Japan starting March, and it won't be easy to determine when she will be able to promote in Korea." He then added, "But we have plans of releasing a follow-up song to "You & I," we just need to find the right time."

Meanwhile, IU has been preparing her debut in Japan with appearances on Japanese shows and music programs and also held her first showcase on January 24.

I'm excited to hear that she will be releasing a new song in Korea soon. If she decides to release it in a repackage, I hope it's similiar "Real +" as I already have the limited edition of "Last Fantasy" and have no interest in repurchasing the whole album again. I wouldn't mind if she released it digitally though since songs sell well that way as well.

Thank you so much for posting the teaser! I can't wait to see it in full! I'm happy that they didn't put as much makeup on her as they did in the Korean version. She looks older as well in comparison. I hope they put the video on the album DVD since I bought the version of the single that has the photobook and "IU JAPAN PREMIUM SPECIAL LIVE" instead. According to her official Japanese website, the full video is supposed to premiere on Space Shower TV on the 1st of March!

IU's To Hold Her First Nationwide Concert in Korea

4 years after her debut, singer IU will hold her first solo concert.

After debuting at the young age of 16 with her amazing emotional and vocal skills, IU, who has become the representative of solo singers in the music industry, will hold her first solo concert, 'Real Fantasy', 4 years after her debut.

LOEN Entertainment stated, "On June 2nd, IU will hold her first concert in Seoul at the Peace Hall in Kyunghee University, before embarking on a nationwide tour of 6 cities. Just like the name of the concert, 'Real Fantasy', through IU's beautiful music and her sincerity, she will create a 'real fantasy-like' performance."

This solo concert is not only limited to the people in Seoul, but it is even more special as it is part of a nationwide tour. She decided to hold a nationwide tour in order to go and hold a concert for all the fans that have been supporting her since her debut. The concert will start in Seoul and she will then go to Ulsan, Jeonjoo, Suwon, Busan, and Daegu.

In addition, this concert will focus on IU and IU's music so instead of holding it in large concert venues, it will be held on theater-style stages in order to focus more on the quality of the music.

LOEN Entertainment expressed, "After IU's solo concert was confirmed, IU gave input with her own ideas during the planning stage and is putting all her efforts into getting ready for the concert. Through this concert, people would be able to see IU's passion and sincerity towards music."

IU will be making a comeback with a new single on May 11th!

Singer IU will be releasing her new single "Spring at the Age of Twenty" (스무살의 봄) on May 11th. Before that, her own self-composed song will be released on May 4th. (Note: English title is not confirmed yet)

The single, with a total of 3 songs, to be released 6 months after her last album, is a special gift prepared for her fans for their unwavering love and support all this while. In particular, IU will perform the title song from this single for the first time at her own solo concert.

Also, together with the release of this new single will be a short movie of the same title.

Unlike the usual music videos, this short movie was produced to emulate the style of a documentary, containing some of IU's personal thoughts that she has kept to herself all this while and conveying the experiences on life and love of the 20-year-old IU.

IU's agency, LOEN Entertainment, expressed, "Instead of releasing a song with a conventional style for IU's new single this time, we attempted a new approach to convey emotions and story behind the music through a short movie. Please look forward to IU's unique new single."

Meanwhile, IU's self-composition will be released on May 4th at 00:00 (12 midnight) through online music sites, while the single "Spring at the Age of Twenty" will be released on May 11th.
