September 19 becomes 'Arashi Day' in Hawaii

On September 19 and 20, Arashi held their 15th anniversary live on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Hawaii is a special place for the members as they held their debut press conference on the cruiser off the coast of Honolulu back on September 15, 1999. The 2-day live was held outdoors attracting about 30,000 people in total.

Half of the concert tickets were designated for fan club members, sold as a part of a tour package which ranged from 200,000 to 500,000 yen ($1836 to $4594). The rest were available for local fans, as well as fans living in the United States and Canada.

The members arrived at the venue, which was made just for the concert, via helicopter. They performed a total of 30 songs tracing their 15-year career. Besides the performance itself, the members entertained fans with various video clips and MC segments.

To commemorate the occasion, the state of Hawaii announced that they have established September 19 as 'ARASHI DAY'.

I absolutely love "THE DIGITALIAN" covers & tracklist!

I love both covers of the album, they're totally awesome! I love the CD only cover even more now that I see it in a bigger size. Arashi are looking very good! The tracklist is pretty nice, as well. I really like all the titles for the album tracks, especially "Hope in the darkness", "STAY GOLD" (of course, I love Matsujun's solo title! ), "Disco Star" (totally fitting for Aiba! ), and "TRAP" (sounds like it'll be a hot song! ). I totally can't wait to watch the PV for "Zero-G".

I'm so incredibly excited for this album now! I totally can't wait!

More Arashi on the Kouhaku... Do I really need to ask this again...when will someone else OTHER than Arashi host the Kouhaku for the boys???

And who's Yuriko Yoshitaka? Why are the girls' team host rotating just like every year when Arashi's pretty much pinned for quite the past few years?

The difference between Arashi and number 2 in sales! Just listened the new album, didn't like that much, nothing that special Thought only song that I really adore from Arashi is Dear Snow. KarenPang, you're familiar with their discography? Do you have any similar song to recommend ?

Uh Dear Snow is not included in their latest album . It's found in their 10th album Beautiful World

And Dear Snow is 1 of my least fave songs from them & the PV is their most boring to date

Or are you referring to another song instead ?

Yes I know that Dear Snow is an older song I meant maybe something similar to that one since that's one of the few songs I have from Arashi on my phone, well what can I say, tastes differ edit: I'll take my words back, I really like Hope in the darkness from the new album, the lyrics are really good.

I'm surprised that the 1st day sales for THE DIGITALIAN was higher than LOVE & I've already said in my previous post in that I don't find their latest album as good as LOVE

That's not to say THE DIGITALIAN is an outright horrible album . There're still a few surprises , such as Aiba's solo being the best out of the 5 + MatsuJun's solo is tolerable (again)

Can't believe that for once Ohno's solo is my least fave this time round

Hmm... How is Arashi still one of a few strongholds in this bleak world of bad J-pop sales, alongside some of other Johnny's artists and AKB48? Oh yeah, I don't think they do online (e.g. iTunes) sales pretty much...are they really on iTunes right now or no?
