I actually don't really like what I've heard so far for this Live. I absolutely adored her vocals on HLS but this seems like she's regressing back to the forced, chopped up syllables kind of singing. Maybe it helps her hear herself better to sing that way but doesn't make for a great listening experience for me. Still, can't wait for the concert DVD!

Who is playing "Voyage" on loop now?

She sounded terrible but Voyage saved this release. It was beautiful...

I would probably go "loopy" if I had that on repeat... I was already feeling anxious while listening to it during my first playthrough.

^The RnRC Tour is her best tour ever, maybe not vocally, but she sounded more than decent and the whole thing was so impressive !

I'm fine with what I'm hearing so far, she sounds really good on some tracks, though she does "force" her voice at some points. It's really obvious on A Song for XX, she sounds quite bad compared with other lives...
But I still think it's better than the HLS Tour, I thought she sounded really weak in that one. Vocally speaking, her last perfect concert was probably the CDL HLS, it was perfect from the first song to the end of the encore !

^ Yes. Which is why I wish she DIDN'T release the live album after all, since it isn't a vocally or musically impressive show at all. I would have been perfectly happy with a DVD of the tour, and have her save live albums for the tours that deserve it. Even an A Best 3 (with Tell All -which I think is a great song, butchered on this tour- included) would have been a better 'celebration gift' of sorts for me.

I don't get what's the big deal. Just don't listen to it...There are many of us who are enjoying it.

^^ Hey, this LIVE ALBUM is 100% live...

lol just kidding
Releasing the LIVE CD is not only about the vocal is also the arrangement. Many artists released LIVE CD contained lip-synced tracks to fulfill the albums and that will persuade casual listeners to buy them. Can you imagine an A BEST LIVE album without 'poker face'? And do not try to find reasons why they're not singing that songs LIVE, it's the artists personal reasons.

So... enjoy the show!!

Amazes me that you assume I didn't otherwise I should agree with you. I love live albums, I do listen to many of those, and I still don't agree with you

We get it, you don't like this release, you made yourself very clear about it, why can't you just ignore it then? You're way too concerned in express how she should never have released it when a lot of people actually enjoyed this release. If you don't like it, just ignore it, it's just a live CD and people who're buying it are just the ones who're interested in it, it was never supposed to have good sales, it's not big deal LOL

haha I think her vocals were pretty bad in many parts of that CDL (judging by the TV ver.). I guess we all have different opinions about her vocals.

For me, it's ok if she forces her vocals in some songs as long as she can keep the tone (like Who..., although it sounds completely forced, she did manage to keep the tone). My problem is when she forces and fails to keep the tone because of that

I can't ignore it because I am a fan who has a certain expectation of what my favourite artist does. Sorry then for having an opinion on something she does that is different from yours (though I am not sure why I am apologising, since one would assume that a discussion forum by virtue of it being a FORUM would yield different kinds of opinions).

I've never given 2 hoots about sales like some of the sales number nazis we have over here. I am just want my favourite artist to release good material which this live album, frankly speaking, isn't. All I did was to express that but it seems like you're the one who is "way too concerned" that I just think it sucks.

It's wonderful that you have listened to so many live albums; I will avoid the obvious issue of taste here because that is just too easy.

At any rate I am done with this discussion since obviously it is going nowhere. God forbid we ever have differing opinions on a discussion forum.

thank you title156.
i have question title156..
hmm..why some people don't try to believe poker face and Fly high are pre-recorded songs on this posting at least?
and some people look upset when i said about the live cd has some pre-recorded songs. why?
i just said it has pre-recorded songs at first. i didn't say any my opinion for including pre-recorded songs.
and then why did they do?
i enjoyed your video though. thank you

^ So true, it's impossible that someone who lives in Brazil isn't used to live albums, they're more popular than studio albums here

As someone who only went to the first date, I can't vouch for the other performances.

Ayu generally uses pre-recorded tracks only for cuter, poppier songs that maybe include some choreographed dance routines. On the live CD, the only songs that fit that description are Fly High and poker face.

I doubt she used any pre-recorded songs for her ballads. Mostly because she never really does that. But I'd say there's a possibility for Fly High and poker face. Though, that's not necessarily what I believe.

I think the same. Maybe she did in those 2 songs (or one of them), but maybe not. I don't care anyway because she resung these for the concert. It's like the videos we saw in other tours, they're pre-recorded... it's just a show.
I usually don't mind about this. I only didn't like she lipsynced EnergizE at AT09 (I think, not sure she did) because I love that song xD
