Too bad you said japanese! Because I think you'd absolutely love Waa Wei's album Graceful Porcupine. That's the only suggestion I can really think of right now.

Does it have to be Japanese for a reason? Because that's not really a style that's always embraced there as much as it is in Korean music. You're also more likely to come across voices that aren't as high compared to Japanese music, and a less quirky sound.

But um, if you don't mind Korean, you want Casker.

I'll make a playlist for them with the songs I like actually so you can get an idea, although some will be more upbeat. In random order.

Here

I think you might also like Yozoh. Are you at jps, because there's actually a circle of korean artists that are this style, and jps has a lot of material.

^I agree with emi about Casker, and so far I haven't heard anything with that kinda of musical style in Japanese. I've been thinking hard to recall anything that sound like Korean slow / mid tempo light music but nothing comes to mind as most Japanese music I have are mostly hard music compared to Lim Kim's or IU's

thank u for your suggestions, i will try them out, the reason i asked for Japanese is because i haven't really heard any music like that in the genre so i wondered if anyone knew a singer like that in jpop, but i guess not. But im exicited to try the artist u have recommended me
