I mean... music is her only true relationship through her whole life.
My heart feels heavy and i'm so extremely sad right now...

I really hope they can slow down the deafness-process like they do with my ear problems!

My heart is broken... It sounds as if it's only a matter of time until she will go entirely deaf... I'm devasted now... Like, when the day will come, there won't be new music from her anymore I will be very depressed... To be honest, I can't even imagine Ayu being 'happily' deaf... Happy like she somehow can live with it... She can't picture a life without music so yea...

Oh my gosh, six years?! She hid it so well. Wait, back in 2011 I remember loads of speculation about her sitting so much at CDL, now we know why. I'm glad it's getting better though, be strong Ayu!!!

I'm so worried about what she said about her ear. I'm shocked, really. Like most people, I know she won't stop but I don't want her to push on and make her ear and knee worse. I feel like saying "It's ok! We understand if you need to rest"

About the keen, didn't we already knew she had smething on her knee? I kinda feel like I know she had something. Can be wrong... But remember that during the first 2 dates of CDL she wore a knee band? That's the reason

Poor Ayu Gosh, I mean surely the touring can't be helping though? Or maybe she's been told that she is inevitably going to lose her hearing eventually - maybe that's why she has produced so many different tours as of late... Either way, I hope she takes the time to have a rest.

This is so devastating to read. It must be a nightmare to go through this. I regret everything I said about bad vocals etc., because... now we know why it has not been good recently. Poor Ayu! I feel so much sadness now.

When will her ear problems be confirmed? Perhaps I missed it but to my knowledge she hasn't said what her diagnosis is. Just that she is losing her hearing for a long time now. I feel that it would be helpful to know more details so we can understand better.
I don't mean this in a cold hearted way but, I really am not shocked by this news. I think it has been obvious that something isn't right with her hearing. This only confirms my fears that I have had for a few years now.
I wish there was a way to help Ayu's situation.

Oh my god, wow I'm so shocked and saddened. I'm glad she still wants to continue performing and that it makes her happy, but I'm seriously worried about her health. I wonder if anything can be done to prevent her from completely going deaf.

Wow, a big shocker. No longer a TA member but that recent post - as long as we have the OFFICIAL English translation - this needs to be a 'critical' post to read, even to non-TA.

she wrote that she had problem with her kneecap for 6 years! and that first show in Yokohama Arena was like a return of true ayumi hamasaki for her. she says that she has nothing but stage and she continues to live because of stage and she'll keep performing until her body lets her....

upd. I don't want to be mean or something but she sounds exactly like Yoshiki who had problems with his neck and back for almost 20 years and had really serious surgery few days ago which became big news.

for her knee, we saw her wearing bandage in 2007 and during a-nation 09? she said she had liquid suck from her knee, didnt know it hasnt been fully heal
