Maybe ayu just can't choose between two covers? She needs to have a reason to release two CD separately. I hope one day we'll see her explanation. Maybe at Music fair?

But it's not impossible to release two same CDs with the same cover, so if she just couldn't choose between the two then, even if it's not allowed to sell them in separate listings (Jacket A and Jacket B) she could do like A BALLADS / A BEST / Love Songs: include it randomly.

Has she ever had different jacket versions of a single which had the exact same tracklist btw?

the singles A and H have multiple covers and the same track list, but to my recollection the multiple covers were released after the official release dates of the respective singles i.e. in commemoration.

The A covers were also colored I think?

As for }{, there were 4 different covers released - part of what contributed to it being the only million seller single that year. After it hit a million, they released the commemorative digipack version that had all 4 covers.

The CD Code on the disc has to follow the one printed on the label (AVCD____).
Since a different CD is to be pressed they might as well use a different tracklist just so that buying 2 versions feel less like a scam.

I just listened to the EP in both orders. The EP's feeling is completely different

^To me, the first one sounds lighter, mellower, even if the ending is sadder.

The 2nd order sounds heavier and darker and more agressive somehow.

I like how she it's done in a way it shows is determined to go on in the end of both tracklists.

I just listened to the reverse order while re-reading the lyrics and I agree.

How I see it-
Jacket A: starting with We are the Queens feels like she has her guard up while ending with The way I am shows a growth towards the acceptance that some will abandon her but she will always be here for them.

And with the contrast of jacket B: she starts off with this soft and a bit vulnerable persona, which by the end evolves to become stronger and aggressive.

The determination theme that you mentioned is definitely there and it's very interesting to see the two different ways she created to show it.

She should have done it on streaming sites (maybe it will be ) and for the mu-mo versions.

With the two versions she will make collectors happy by having more stuff to collect while other people can buy one version and stream the other.
