Ayumi's always been more internationally known, maybe cos it was the jpop craze when she was at the peak of her popularity. Nowadays Otsuka Ai and Koda Kumi are getting bigger in Japan yet not many people (here, at least) have heard of them.

should be a concidence. but it's still worth a try. i could write something like 'why NONE of the magazines here don't have ayu for cover???? she just had a new album and there's not enough news about ayu! where have your brains go?'
