I know! That's why they call her a "Forever Idol" because she has sustained her popularity so long! She is still making music and is still on TV shows, and people still go to her concerts. =D

I think she holds new years concert similar tho Ayu's CDL. tho in a smaller venue and pricier tickets, it's really for the hardcore fans.

I've read about her career, it's pretty interesting since she has had some success in US & EU too with english songs. but I find majority of her music really uninspired & dull.

her discography seems really ridicilous, like a very bad case of quantity over quality. the number of compilation albums is just staggering. she brings out the worst in being an "idol".

I don't think anyone can release like ~40 albums of quality music in just 16 years. her compliation album names are so weird, "bible" ?

While I agree that no one can put out quality music all the time, I don't think it matters that much how much time you spend. Western artists often take years to release, but they still don't have an overall better quality than japanese artists /Idols.

Her christmas concert is one of the most popular in Japan (and also one of the most expensive).
