I think there is a misunderstanding going on. It is a festival not a TV show.

But good news nonetheless.

We still haven't seen her performance from that festival last year, oh well.

But yeah, it's not a TV perfomance. oh well.

It's under concert schedule now. But they could air the live on their channel, it's for a TV channel after all (what caused the confusion).

I just hope she doesn't perform evolution. I love that song but very overplayed on tv lives lately. Something fresh!

I don't mind more evo' as long as it's not all she performs. Even so, fresh or not, if you're Ayumi Hamasaki and you want to get a crowd pumped up, there's really no better way to do it than to sing "evolution", so I'm not against it.

The one upside about having nothing to promote really is that she can pretty much pick whatever she wants from her repertoire to perform, kind of like BLUE BIRD @ FNS.

I don't care much what she will perform if I'm not going to that festival and it's not going to air. She could sing evolution and Boys & Girls for all I care

If it will be aired then it's something else. Imagine it's not aired or released somehow in full and she sings kanariya, Liar, GUILTY and ever free live lol

Yeah that's true. Although the chances of her ever performing those songs outside of her tours are non existent

I'm pretty sure it'll be broadcasted later this year. They used to do Dream Festivals ages ago, and they always got aired. Sometimes in full, sometimes not. But I think this time they might air only parts of each performences coz there are a lot of artists involved.

Nonetheless, it's pretty cool they got ayu to join, I think it'll do her some good to do other things than touring or recording albums.

^ There was no Dream Festival ages ago. You might have it mixed up with Digital Dream Live that aired on NHK BS2 four times in 2000 through 2003.

No I was not refering to those (as you pointed out, those are NHK hosted), but to TV Asahi's events (I believe it was hosted by TV Asahi but they could have been only partners of some sorts but I strongly remember seeing ads). Don't remember the name though, but I attended one of those on my very first trip to Japan.

That being said, if they really want to make their 55th anniversary very special, they'll most likely be filming this. I don't see the point for a TV channel to host such an event with so many big names and not take the opportunity to broadcast it lol. That would be quite ironical to me.

Edit: googled a bit, and TV Asahi hosted a few Dream festivals, at least one in 2011, and it was partially broadcasted.
I think the event I attended in 2005 wasn't the same "Dream Festival" but it was indeed promoted by Asahi TV.

I think Ayu doing anything outside of touring and magazine shoots is considered a big surprise at this point.

I really like the fact that Ayu, is somewhat getting more active lately. I think this is what she needs after the Love Again era.

Really great to see her appearing in magazines and TVs! Could it be that LOVE again and A Best LIVE concert is something to be meant for fans? That's why minimum promotions are done and only those who has been following up will be more aware of her released? Haha...

i am kinda agreeing with you. it migth very well be the case why so little promotion that had.
