All the comments I read appeared to be positive feedback from either Namie stans or people who were familiar with Japanese media (having had profile pictures of anime characters). I'm more curious as to how the general public, the average American, views this video and the song as well.

I did, and most of them new of her or were familiar with Japanese media it seemed to me. And yeah, complaining about the touch screen pausing the video due to touch screen laptops.

The three songs use snares that are very commom in pop music, and the fact that GT has a very generic/commom melody doesn't help.

Still, I find the three songs very different. Miley Cyrus' voice in her song is very annoying

I could hear some similarities, but doesn't namie just pick a demo and sings it. I thought she had no control over where her demos get the melody from.

That's pretty much how it goes. Theres an interview somewhere on tumblr that said she listened to 200+ songs every day and just narrowed it down/choose whatever stood out to her. Anything was probably from a sample Unpretty was based out of. Same thing goes for GT. She's most likely unaware of any of these similarities and I have a feeling you can find a couple songs similar to a number, if not all of the tracks on this album. Like since when has anything been original these days? Lol. I don't really care much about the comparisons tbh, I just love the music. Golden Touch has been my jam and I'm so happy it's getting popular.

I miss her work with Naomyt. PLAY and P>F were perfection imo.

i frankly don't care much, just posted that out of boredom and curiosity. Still most of the stuff she has sounds better than any of the songs one would think she gpot ideas from.
