^yeah I know the backstory and why it did not fare so well. I too love the album very much. I rather asked myself why she let bad recording (like Himawari) slip, and why everything seemed so tacky and off...and well...not like her.

Yeah, I kinda feel like she was filling out contract obligations at that point. She probably signed a contract saying she had to release four albums within a certain period of time, and she just wanted to get it over with.

During the recording of Himawari, she was sick which is why she eventually rerecorded it. I do think the album was probably a contractual obligation (she released 2 albums in one year that year) and my personal theory is that it was due to her taking time off for her pregnancy and birth that she had to play catch up a bit with her releases.

I do wonder quite a bit if the 25 year contract thing is true. Or at least 20 year contract and then after the cancelled Okinawa live they renegotiated another 5 year contract.

Interesting that she's re-recording so many songs, I love that she does this to add some new feeling to her compilations. I'm a bit bitter that ALARM, Put'Em Up and WILD were left behind, but still looks like a nice tracklist.
Does it say we have just 2 more songs besides those? So it'll be 6 new songs instead of 7? :/

Yes, they changed it to 6 new songs. But all of them are getting PVs.

I'm so excited for the new recordings! SO happy I preordered. I didn't notice there were missing singles until Gustavopc pointed it out. That's a bummer. No brighter day either, I love that song

I think it's so cool for Namie to re-record a LOT of her old songs , this's like the most number of new recordings I've seen in a best album

I find it odd that some of her single songs are missing from Finally , such as WILD , BRIGHTER DAY (poor thing it wasn't in _genic either D: )

At least Damage and Christmas Wish made the cut in the tracklist . The PV contents are a bit meh but I shouldn't complain so much as that's offset by the huge number of newly re-recorded songs and also the new material too

Not that I'm complaining but Contrail was a digital single, and I understand Damage was too, but at least we had Contrail featured on an album, so why bother throwing it on this compilation. They could have put another song there.

Yes but the version of Contrail in Finally will be re-recorded so it probably wouldn't be the same version as what was included in FEEL

I'm curious to hear the new recording of the songs in Finally , 39 tracks is a LOT

Also I realised , if you say 39 in Japanese , it's Sankyuu (sounds like Thank you) so coincidental much ?

Actually think that it's really odd to rerecord so many songs; a lot aren't even that old. I would prefer to have all the original in one album, but oh well, gives Avex an excuse to release another collection somewhere down the line.

Also newspapers are confirming she is doing a dome tour starting in February.

Me and a friend were discussing the remaining 2 tracks and were thinking that one of them might be a collab with Kuu because a few months back some producers said they were working on a namie x Kuu collab. Would also make sense to keep 2 collabs secret to make another impact when they get reveiled. I'm really hoping for it. Make that collab that people wanted since 2005 come true.

I'd be okay if one was the rumored Kuu collab and the other was the third part of WLD/Dr. but that would be weird since WILD isn't even included on Finally so I guess we'll just...never know

K, saw the tracklist on instagarm and came her to complain, then read she re-recorded 39 f*cking songs, so I'll just shut up and enjoy the Queen's present.
