Honestly, I think this is a smart move if she feels uninspired. Better to take a breather now than to wait until she has a mental breakdown or something
I support her decision, no matter what, she knows herself best <3 All love and luck to her <3

Edit: I made an assumption that you are talking about Kana Nishino

Nissy's dome tour is completely sold out. Wow.
With his 5 year anniversary of going solo his new releases are also for the first time available everywhere and not limited to mu-mo.
It's interesting, how popular he and AAA are right now.
I do love Shinjiro Atae's new song and PV Never Mind btw. (Kuu's female dancer Minami from her two last tours is in it)
His English is really good - if he's the one writing his Insta posts in Japanese and English himself.

Sekai no Owari's new double album is really good!
And releasing double albums (seperately) definitely is a trend now.

MONKEY MAJIK did something really fun and interesting on their new music video and song! I've never seen a band or artist pull a trick like this so I want to talk about it, but in case someone doesn't want to see the joke explained beforehand, I'll put my thoughts under a spoiler tag. Watch the video below (even if you don't care about the fun thing, it's a great song!):

Spoiler:
The song is mostly in English and the video is subtitled with the lyrics and their "translations" into Japanese... but the "translations" are actually more like Japanese approximations of the original words/phonemes, and they create a bit of an additional story, which the guest artist acts out in the video. I'm not proficient enough in Japanese, reading especially, to know whether the Japanese "translations" make any sense at all (doesn't seem like they do), but it's a really fun trick, especially in the video!

But beyond the sight gags this trick enables, it also makes you listen to the song in a new way: after my listen, every time I come back to this song, I really try to hang on to the words and hear the hidden jokes, and I'm paying special attention to the Japanese bits to try and hear if there are any "hidden English words" in those passages. And they really seem to be encouraging this, 'cuz I could swear that towards the end, they start intentionally slurring their words more and more so that the English and Japanese really blur together and pop out almost simultaneously.

I think this is the best possible use of a songwriter fluent in two languages. Also the song is really fun, this '70s funk/disco thing suits MONKEY MAJIK so well!

Today is the releasing date for the first full album from a japanese Band I like. I would love to buy it but since I'm currently not living in Germany I can't buy it. I went to watch if it was added to spotify but it isn't uploaded there atm, hope that they will add it eventually

The album still isn't added to spotify ( at least not here don't know if it's up in Japan). That's kinda sad, I'd really love to listen to the whole album. Most of the songs are from past EPs but urgh.... it's still sad and sucks big time. I guess it could have something to do with Sony being there new lable.

Man, it sucks when artists you've loved just cease releasing material that pleases you. JILLE is about to release a new album next month, and I'm really happy for her but I don't think I'll be buying the album. All the songs she's released from it so far have disappointed me: it's all underproduced coffee shop music and no song so far has had a melody compelling enough to overcome the blandness of the sound. I still love her voice, but a voice is not enough to make me pay for an album.

And I have a similar problem with Ikimonogakari: I've listened to all the songs they've released since coming back from their (weirdly short) hiatus but I'm not connecting with them. Their music sounds exactly the same as it mostly did pre-hiatus: overstuffed, directionless, lacking spark. I'll still check out their future material (because I do still have an attachment to them thanks to their older music; I've been listening to a lot of it since most of their albums got added to Spotify and confirmed that yes, those songs still rule) but my enthusiasm has already simmered down.

Their situation makes me think of all the people wishing Ayu would take a break or go on a hiatus to restore her creativity and conclude that a break clearly isn't the simple solution we like to think. Back when Ikimonogakari announced their hiatus, I thought it might do them good and they could come back sounding refreshed... but nah. Creative juices, "quality" and connecting with an artist's music are more complicated than that, and breaks and hiatuses don't necessarily hold any special powers.

^I agree with you about Ikimonogakari. It's like they wasn't in hiatus actually. Though I like Identity.

That's a strange period. There are many artists who are stopping their career such as Kana Nishino and there are other artists who stopped to release new music several years ago who are coming back as Rina Aiuchi or Kou Shibasaki.

I've been really into King Gnu's Hakujitsu lately. I think it's a real stand-out song with its interesting vocals, cool rhythmic melody, monstrous hooks and genre-blending sound. I'm glad a song like this has become (somewhat) a hit, I hope to see more songs like this do well this year.

Yasutaka Nakata is coming to one of Germany's biggest Anime conventions and I will be there!
He's bringing Momo Mashiro, his new talent, with him.
They're both performing and I'm pretty stoked to see them!

Johnnys domination for this & next month

No complaints on this & so relieved that there's Taiwan press to fall back on , releases wise haha

Also I don't know why it took KAT-TUN's Kame so long to release solo material of his own but better late than never

Lastly , very excited for ARASHI's new best album & also when my sister + her friend go see them perform in concert next week woo

GRANRODEO's latest single is pretty good but I surprisingly like the B-side more than the A-side this time round

Forte has rather strong Irish sounding like influences which's so cool & I seldom come across this , not just in GRANRODEO

Today is GLAY's 25th anniversary & they weren't kidding when they said they will celebrate the landmark milestone in 7 different ways

And 1 of the 7 different ways GLAY will do that is they will tour overseas next year

I hope when GLAY said that , it's not just nearby Taiwan , China & South Korea :x

If GLAY come here , I wouldn't hesitate to go even though I don't know 1/2 of their extensive discography xD

PRISTIN is disbanding after a pretty pathetic 2 years with no support from their agency. I really liked them too...

In all my years buying Johnnys & non Johnnys related releases for almost 15 years , ARASHI's 5x20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019 looks set to be the best looking one I will own in due time packaging wise

https://www.j-storm.co.jp/topics/5x20

The 4 CDs + DVD A packaging looks amazing , hands down 1 of the best I've seen for a JPop release :O

Some said the 4 CDs + DVD A packaging looks like a make up palette though

At 1st I wonder why the 4 CDs + DVD A is priced a lot more than the 4 CDs + DVD B even though DVD B contents are a lot more than the DVD A contents

Now I understand why
