I think she really likes singing actually, so it's not like she's doing it 100% for the $$$.
I really like her songs, I was a Britney fanatic back in 04 lol... she's still great, and I still listen to her.

also, britneys tour has a way higher budget, so you cant compare the visuals because more money = better visuals(usually) Womanizer Woman-Womanizer You're a womanizer Oh Womanizer Oh You're a Womanizer Baby You, You You Are You, You You Are Womanizer, Womanizer, Womanizer Well, great lyrics she got there...if thats the best she had ever... True that. I used to really be into Britney last year but now, she doesn't really hold my interest as much. ![]() I don't think her lyrics are the best, but at the moment, her music producers are doing a really good job. She needs better song writers, is all.

I think to measure lyrics, you should look at the WORST lyrics, that would be WOMANIZER against...maybe Sparkle? And I think Sparkle would be WAY better xDDDDD So in the lyrical point, we can be quite sure Ayu is better xD(I don't think lyrics are subjective...music is, but lyrics not)

I would disagree. Both music and lyrics are subjective. Wether or not you like a certain song really depends on what you personally think is important, which would indeed make lyrics subjective. For some people, "Womanizer" can actually be seen as a very serious/important song. I would never have listened to Ayu's music if I could not relate to it, or if I did not think that what she sings about is important. That's why I don't like "Sparkle", because the lyrics don't mean anything to me. :-)

#1 in 17 countries, gotta be doing something right.Same goes for the tour. Ayu has had the same tour setup since 2005. Same stuff over & over. Love her though. But it gets boring. Quote:

And Britney is very well promoted, especially with all the scandals in 2007 and 2008, they are still working for her sales. Some people judge music or art on its meaning and dont even listen to meaningless music, thats the minority, the others dont really mind music and listen to everything thats catchy, no matter what it is(Britney fans, but many ayu fans as well and from many other artists, basically every top 20 artist has tons of them)Tour setup doesnt really matter for me, first thing that matters is the sounds, its a concert after all, then of course, theres the liveness coming with it, lets see...Ayu around 70% live, Britney something around 0,1%? Her show has to be PV-level to satisfy me that way plus the 2009 setup of ayus tour is completely different and theres something about Britneys tours that is boring, really boring, it doesnt have any feeling and/or meaning to me at all, its just...high budget used in a bad way About the dancing issue: Britney is a dancer pretending to sing when shes in concert, so she has to dance on a way higher level than ayu, but she doesnt, sure, she dances better than ayu, but not that much better, but she should, shes performer in dancer direction and ayu is performer somewhere between singer and allrounder, so Britney should be superb to ayu, but isnt, britney is nothing compared to her dancers, she should be on the same level though |

People who only judge music based on it's "meaning" are usually social rejects who have no life meaning's good every now and again but ppl who sit down thinkin about their feelings 24/7 are uncoolBrit does all the same dance breaks in her tour as her dancers and keeps up with them.. I know because I saw the whole thing BOW TO THE QUEEN B |

AS for music. I love how people says ayu's music has MEANING to it. You know music isn't just about lyrics. If it was we might as well just categorize it under poetry. THere's a reason why they are seperate Sure lyrics do help with a song, but I think if a song can be liked without lyrics, it means A LOT more than if you like a song Just because it has lyrical meaning. Classical music is a great example of this. are you going to say classical music is bad because it has no meaning. It is just instruments playing. These songs just capture people's attention. Maybe some songs can be interepted for something, maybe not. There's nothing about LOVE or Friendship in many famous classical songs, but they are still famous : ). Music is about preference to the melodies of the composition. Sometimes people even measure it by the creativity of using harmony, melody and rhythm together. Thats why it is a subjective matter. I don't want to sound rude, but people like you are the ones that are ignorant about music v_v. You should be labelling a song bad because it doesn't entertain you, it doesn't capture your attention or it doesn't flow with your groove. If you like a song, but you don't listen to it because the lyrics aren't deep enough for you then this is your own loss. Seriously. Even in physics music is labelled as a rhythm or repeated pattern of wavelengths while noise is random wavelengths. (I cant explain it too well haha) Lyrics are only one aspect of music.^ haha altho I agree with most of your post evolution, lets not insult people who like to find lyrics with meanings lol. I'm sure they're not all social rejects. =) But I agree with you, I love how britney's break down is a promotional item but when you bring up ayu's deafness incident its a whole different story. i mean seriously. lets not make exceptions for artists we like. Its not a different story jsut because Ayu is involved. unfortunate accidents happen and seriously, I think britney would rather sacrifice some of her sales and not have that break down. Anyways as evolution said, her sales suffered because of the incident rather than boomed back up.

Anyhow, I used to like her, when I was around 7 or 8 years old, but I completely lost interest after I turned 12. Her recent releases have caught my intention, though, I have to admit. Lyrical, I think she is at her best ever, right now. Nothing weird about that, probably, she has had a lot of things going on in her life recently. Though I can't say I love her, I support her comeback, and I am really happy to see that she has pulled herself together. I sincerely wish her the best of luck. :-)

Thats really true, her songs itself sometimes appeal to me, but that doesnt make britney a good artist, it makes her composers ok to good(though most music sounds like just every song in the charts, its songs you remember all the time)

Yup, I like/love Britney Spears.
Although I have lost a considerable interest in her after I crossed over to listening to Japanese music. But I still like her music, cus I listened to it a lot during my high school years.

I started lovin' her songs, but I don't like her style now... Her style back then 1999-2000 is the best.

Britney's a case of a star about whom I've changed my mind. I still can't listen to her early albums, even though they made her famous - I get absolutely nothing out of them. But starting with In the Zone, she really began to move closer to the kind of dance/club music that's my favourite genre. Blackout and Circus have managed to stay fresh, and while I liked some tracks from the beginning I've grown to appreciate those albums on the whole. So, early Britney - clear no/late 00s Danceney - yes. And unlike some other celebs whose bad behaviour is the result of being an entitled selfish jerk, over time it's started to seem that Britney's problems were the result of a genuine mental illness that's now under control, so I've decided to focus on the good music she's been making and ignore her past screwups.
