I always wonder how people manage to make pretty girls look not-so-pretty. Using a kitty-image might make it difficult to get something classy, but they could've defenitely done better than this. Hopefully the PV doesn't look that cheap too.

T-ara, retro remake vs trendy song, "happy worries"

Seven member girl group T-ara has fell into a distressed state.

T-ara came back with the retro disco style dance song "Roly-Poly" back in June and created a big hit in the music industry. They have scored #1 on music programs and are doing great on music charts. Their 70s and 80s' inspired fashion helped attract a lot of attention to the seven members.

T-ara will be returning with follow-up promotions soon and whether they'll go with the retro style that brought about the retro craze like 'Roly-Poly', or whether they'll go with the strong and trendy music like in the past, for their follow-up track it's currently being thought over thoroughly.

Kim Kwangsoo, the CEO of T-ara's agency Core Contents Media said on the 18th, "T-ara will promote 'Roly-Poly' for two months (July, August) and then start activities in Japan for September. After that, they will return to Korea in October with a new 'Roly-Poly' repackaged album with new recordings."

"One of the two new songs in the repackaged album is the 80s' hit song 'Round and Round' by Nami," he said.

"Whether T-ara will continue with their bright, retro style and promote the remake of 'Round and Round' for their follow-up song, or go with a more trendy song by Shinsadong Tiger is being decided."

For now, T-ara and their label are discussing what they'll do for their follow-up songs.

T-ara's retro style summer activities have proven to be impressive so far and they're interested in what options they have in the future.

repackaging it again is totally pointless lol but i'm not going to complain about new songs. praying they go with the second option

I feel bad for saying this... but am I the only person who wishes Boram would gtfo? She's literally the only thing for me that makes T-ara not perfect. She's so short that she looks weird next to everyone else, not to mention she doesn't seem to be that good of a singer or dancer and has zero stage presence. I either totally forget she exists, or notice her being so bland and blah and realize how much of a thorn in T-ara's side she is.

I love everything else about T-ara otherwise. Well, I'm not particularly fond of Hwayoung, but I don't have any problem with her being there, because she doesn't bring the whole group down in my eyes like Boram does. I'm not trying to be mean to the girl or anything, since I'm sure she's probably a sweet, good person, but as an entertainer/idol, she has NOTHING going on for me.

^ Boram is so sweet. I can't hate her. I agree that she's short and looks weird compared to the others sometimes but she's cute & sweet and I think she did great with Roly Poly. Her voice isn't bad either so I don't have much of a problem with her.

However, I can't stand Hwayoung. I absolutely HATE her. she adds nothing to the group. her "rapping" is horrible, she looks like a stupid dork (kind of like those dorky people who do kpop dance covers on youtube) in their lives and she's not even pretty. I don't know why they added her to the group.

Hwayoung brings the group down more than Boram imo A lot of fans still haven't warmed up to her yet and she scares off potential fans with her rapping. She doesn't seem to have much of a personality either! She's been in the group for over a year and I still know nothing about her, and this is coming from someone who watches all of their shows and interviews etc.

She could be useful in another group but not in T-ara! Her rapping is decent when she gets good parts but she's outshined by Eunjung and Hyomin who are both better at rapping than her. Boram's rapping is better than her as well (as proved by the performance of TTL they did at their showcase) so you can make that 3 actually! She's not the best singer in the group and she's not the prettiest either. She always has to wear kitten heels or tennis shoes (due to her being a giantess) too She's not even that close with the other members (she's closer to the Coed members than she is with T-ara). Sometimes she reminds me of an ogre on stage, no offense to her.... She's just the definition of unnecessary

CCM even admitted that the only reason they put her in the group is so the other members could have more individual activities and she could fill a missing spot on stage. She wasn't even their first choice, they wanted her sister actually but Hyoyoung probably knew it was a bad idea (for her) and they threw Hwayoung in there instead. The CEO only picked them up after seeing them do this on Star King a month earlier.

Boram on the other hand is cute and mature and has a pleasant sounding voice unlike Hwayoung even if it isn't the strongest in the group. You can tell the other members all love her and respect her and she does a lot for the group offstage. In Korea she's probably the most popular and recognizable member after the original 3 (all of the older fans Love her). She was actually a solo artist before T-ara but she chose to Abandon it all and join T-ara against her parents wishes whereas Hwayoung just got thrown in there by chance because she's "cute" and they needed a placeholder.

Their group dynamic as 6 members is nice and Hwayoung adds absolutely nothing to it

I LOVE BORAM! and the addition of Hwayoung helped her get more camera time because their 7 so if they do v formations or stuff usually boram was put behind the centre cus they were an even number! Boram is my fav Hwayoung just hasnt been given any time to shine at all! like qri and boram at the start of T-ara's days

I think better formations is one of the few good things that came with the addition of Hwayoung

I didn't like Qri too much when they first debuted either (I never disliked her tho, I was just indifferent to her) but I grew to like her more and now she's one of my favorite members!!! She knows wat her role in the group is and she does it perfectly imo!!!! It's too bad they never let her use her one talent tho (She used to be in an Indie band before T-ara and she was the bassist but a bass player isn't needed in T-ara so she'll probably never get to show it off ) I hope I'll be able to like Hwayoung more once she gets her act together.

I like Hwayoung. her rapping is great (as long as it's NOT in Engrish), and her voice is one of the most distinct within the group. I actually don't dislike any of them.

You aren't the only one. I've never liked Boram either. She just looks stupid next to the other girls. They're all so tall and gorgeous and she's short and plain looking. I've never liked her in the group. Hwayoung I actually don't mind at all. I'd be happy if they just bumped off Boram and kept Hwayoung in her place. I really like her rapping in Wae Ireoni.

I guess the whole point is that when the useful members have to miss out on a performance or etc because of their individual schedules they have a second rate backup (Hwayoung) to cover for them in performances
