Namie may sell better but at least Ayu fans can sleep safe in the knowledge that they stan for an artist that writes their own songs (not just given music and sings for the sake of having something to promote/dance to) and communicates with fans with emotion and thought and doesn't sing random nonsense incomprehensible Engrish.

I love all the queens, Ayu & Kuu are more dear to me though. I'm happy for them all still releasing & selling. I have kpop for groups, I need some good jpop already. because the last 3-4 years in jpop I've seen nothing but stagnation, it has deteriated much for me. and no new legendary artists seem to come...

^ Everyone knew it was coming with Namie lol. She's been on fire since Queen of Hip Pop. She went through a slump (Style was NOT that bad of an album imo) that Ayu may be going back now. Don't know about Koda though...

Someone had said something about being surprised that namies sales were so high compared to Ayumi.... um, duh. And Namie's sales aren't even done yet! I'm glad she did so well. Wish Ayumi could get something like that again.

It's good that namie is enjoying herself though  The album is super commercial and it sounds good, but it doesn't sound personal or anything special for that matter. It could be anybody's album  Still, doesn't mean I'm not gonna enjoy it, I also just had to buy it, I want the pvs *o* I also hope ayu can get high sales again someday, or at least keep her numbers.

Ayu could get a 2nd peak easily if she wanted, IMO.
There's so many things she could do but it doesn't seem like she's really trying to hit it big again (sales-wise). I think at this point she's settled with being a renowned pop star and making money off of tours.

I also wish ayu could have the 2nd peak..i guess if she wants a second peak, she has to take a break..like Namie did back then.. she seldom released singles back then.. and ppl have been waiting for her.
