Sakanaction to provide the theme song for Yamashita Tomohisa's upcoming starring film

Rock band Sakanaction's new song "Hasu no Hana" has been chosen as the theme song to Yamashita Tomohisa's upcoming starring film "Kinkyori Renai" which will open in theaters on October 11.

This marks the second time for the band to sing for a movie since they last provided the theme song for Tsumabuki Satoshi's film "Judge!" (released in January).

According to a representative, the new song is quite an addicting song.

Prior to the release of the movie, the song will also be used for the movie's spin-off drama "Kinkyori Renai ~Season Zero~" (to begin airing on July 19 on NTV) which stars Johnny's Jr.' Abe Aran.

The release of "Hasu no Hana" is undecided at this moment.

気になる内容はというと、作詞に秦基博氏、作曲にBACHLOGIC氏を迎えた「HELLO」、ミックスエ ンジニアにマイケルジャクソンのエンジニアDAVE WAY 氏を起用した「Mysterious」、渋谷慶一郎氏がルイ・ヴィトン展覧会に書き下ろしたインストゥルメ ンタルをボーカルトラックリメイクし、山下智久本人が作詞を手掛けた「Moon Disco」、中田ヤスタカ（CAPSULE）氏による最先端ダンスミュージック「Back to the dance floor」、大沢伸一氏による「Dress Code:」等を含む全7曲収録。

Yamapi To Release A Dance Mini Album 'Asobi'

Yamashita Tomohisa is set to release his 1st dance mini album on August 20, titled “Asobi’.

After his extravagant ‘A Nude’ album released last year, which featured a string of artists in his album production, such as STY, ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo), Nakajin (SEKAI NO OWARI), MIYAVI, MONKEY MAJIK, and many other others, this release will be his 1st attempt in having only dance music in a mini album.

Content of the mini album includes “HELLO” written by Motohiro Hata and composed by BACHLOGIC, “Mysterious” mixed by DAVE WAY, “Moon Disco” originally composed by Keiichiro Shibuya and written by Yamapi, “Back to the dance floor” produced by Yasutaka Nakata (CAPSULE), and “Dress Code:” by Shinichi Ohsawa.

Different genres of dance music are gathered in the album and Yamapi hopes fans will thoroughly enjoy the music.

Yamashita Tomohisa to release a mini-album in August

Yamashita Tomohisa's new mini-album "Asobi" will be released on August 20.

The album will be created with the concept "Dance Tracks Mini Album". It will include a total of 7 songs including "HELLO" written by Hata Motohiro and composed by BACHLOGIC, "Moon Disco" an instrumental number by Shibuya Keiichiro with lyrics by Yamashita, "Back to the dance floor" produced by Nakata Yasutaka (CAPSULE), and "Dress Code:" provided by Osawa Shinichi.

Yamashita commented, "I've been wanting to release an album with a collection of dance music of various genres, so I'm very happy. Through this album, I hope that people who normally don't listen to this type of music will become familiar with dance music."

The album will be released in two types: Regular Edition (CD-Only) and a Yamashita Tomohisa Shop Limited Edition (includes original t-shirt).

Yamashita Tomohisa will be releasing a mini album titled "Asobi" on the 20th of August.

The concept of this mini album which contains a total of 7 songs is said to be "Dance tracks". Yamashita revealed that he has been "wanting to release an album with a collection of dance music of various genres" and so this release makes him extremely happy. Additionally he hopes that people who are new to dance music will become familiar with it via his album.

"Asobi" will be released in two editions: Regular Edition and a Shop Limited Edition.
