Meh, actually I dislike Boku wa kuma because it's your plain typical cute children song.
Hikki did a great job though, but I really cannot enjoy that as much as her other songs since I'm an adult.

Honestly... I don't get why people bash Boku wa Kuma. It's just a sweet little song Hikki had fun with and it's not like it was meant to be a musical masterpiece.

Boku wa Kuma is the only Hikki's song that I hate, it would be such a disgrace if she covered it, because there are tons of more beautiful songs in Hikki's discography that would actually suit her voice (I guess).

That song is so typical lol


I'm hoping for something interesting, but I doubt I'll get it. Meaning I'm hoping for something from Ultra Blue or Heart Station.


As for the overrated debate. I do think all of her music up until Ultra Blue is overrated. Ultra Blue is gold though. I still like her other stuff...but like I said...I'd want something interesting from Ayu. But everyone just wants...all the retarded popular songs.

First Love = most popular song in Japan during that time. Since Ayu popularity declining, i think she would want to get the attention from public, thus the song First Love will gain her new audience. Unless she'll do another song, but I dont mind Ayu doing other song than First Love....I would love her to cover "Wait & See" actually.

I agree, First Love sounds so typical.

If not FINAL DISTANCE then I hoped she covers Beautiful World (PlanitB Remix) or Show Me Love but those seems far-fetched lol

Ayu should cover something from DEEP RIVER era rather than First Love imo. I think Deep River, Uso Mitai na I Love You, Hikari or FINAL DISTANCE would be more suitable for Ayu's voice than First Love.

Exactly, that's when Utada started copying Ayu's approach to genres and ditched the 90s Terry Jam/R'n'B sound anyway.
