Tomomi is saying how much she likes and admires Ayu and how cute she is and how big her eyes are, and when SEASONS was released Tomomi was in America but had someone send her the single, and she’d listen to it and it would make her feel stronger and she listens to Ayu’s music for that sort of inspirational boost.

Ayu said it feels strange to be admired by her because Ayu grew up watching Tomomi on TV and feeling like she learned from her.

Then they talk about the meaning of the title M and Ayu says it could be anything, but then says “well you know I sing about Maria~” But then the host says jokingly says, “Couldn’t it be ‘M’ from Tomomi?” And they laugh lol.

Cant remember if i've watched this version (lots of backstage shots) of her first tour. Its been a long time ago. Appreciate that its available on youtube.

I think all the backstage stuff was on a separate angle of the DVDs? So if you owned the original DVD, you'd just set it to the other angle to get a view of the backstage bits instead of seeing the show whenever they did cut away.

I remember being so amazed by this when I first saw this yeeeeeeears ago. I really wish they showed more stuff like that for her newer concerts. I'm always so fascinated by the behind-the-scenes magic that happens during the costume changes and stuff like that.

weirdly enough, this version was the first one I saw of this concert a long time ago. I remember thinking: "wow they really feel like a documentary but it really took me off of the live performances" thank you for sharing this link here

I've just tried with my DVD on my computer and it's not specified anywhere that you can change angles, I have no idea how to do it lol

However this is what the uploader of the video wrote :

concert tour 2000 Vol.1 is the first session DVD of the live tour of the Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki that was released on September 13, 2000.
The DVD has a multi-angle function to switch between backstage view and audience view.
This video is 2nd angle version,including backstage pictures.

There is additional backstage footage at the end of the DVD but it's not these shots, it's these ones.

Usually there would be an 'angle' button on the remote for DVD players but depending on the DVD software you use, there should be a hotkey to assign for that button.

Movie DVDs do it too, but usually there's no indicator except on the boxart itself?

Yeah, finding tv performances for any artist that was out was so easy. Now, individual artists performances are rarely cut out of specials and finding old tv performances is very, very difficult.
