I LOVE YOU is originally sung by Yutaka Ozaki. He died in the early 90's and I think his death is a mystery somehow.. :?. Lots of people (esp in music industry) really like him.

And hikki sang this song during Bohemian Summer 2000 tour (where she sang incorrectly during the first verse LOL), and she resang it again in Ozaki's tribute album I think.. so yeah Mika sings it again with a totally different tune (more jazz ).

Arigatou for the info - I was just reading about him...his cause of death was reported as pulmonary edema (swelling of the lungs) but many plp are saying homocide instead

yeah i just wanna make sure hikki did sing the song on the tribute album... and found out that the album actually got weekly no. 1 .

I always knew that his death was due to pulmonary edema.. but yesterday I wiki him and found out the thing about homicide thing... so what about that theory?

Yup I read about him on wiki too. So now they still don't know the truth of his death?

found some info..

The cause of his death was that he ingested at least 3 g of drugs inside his body, which led to pulmonary edema. It's like 2.6 times overdosed. Lots of people suspected that he's forced to ingest that amount of drug. (In fact, he took drugs during his life.. that's another story).

Also... it seems like I LOVE YOU was originall in his debut album 十七歳の地図 (SEVENTEEN'S MAP, released in 1983).. Somehow he released it as a single in 1992...

the first one he sang this song in 1984
the second one.. i dunno.. but he voice is much deeper and he looked different (maturer?)..

Yea JOY is another nice song. But perhaps I still need to listen to it more. Somehow she's trying hard to pronounce every word, which seems that she's singing word by word rather than soothing-ly.
