I'm thinking he's thinking of stuff like Onna ni Sachi Are, THE MANPOWER!!!, and other synth-like stuff.

Biyuuden in general is that type of genre. Goto Maki had a few really good songs like that, like "Glass no Pumps", "Ai no Bakayarou", among others.

If you haven't heard "Sukisugite Bakamitai" by DEF. DIVA, then you're missing out on one of H!Ps best one-time shots.

^^ I think "Sukisugite Bakamitai" is overrated. But not as much as "SHALL WE LOVE?" lol

It's a forum for karaoke-ing! I'm sure many people would be interested in your project! I would join, but I'm not too fond with "Yattarouze!". XD
i would, but i really dont want to do this with people who do it all the time. If they are at a karaoke forum, they would be good at it...ive never done it before, and i dont want to be horrible at it....plus, i want to do this with people i know well. haha i know almost every regular here at the H!P thread.. I wouldnt know anyone at that forum

well, yu dont have to do Yattarouze!...yu could do Shabondama if yu want

Btw, Faiza has joined so that means that there are only TWO SPOTS LEFT for Shabondama.

Shabondama: JesA, Faiza...(two spots left)
Yattarouze: JesA...(three spots left)

remember, if yur interested in singing either of these songs (or both), PM me and let me know. Whoever gets their PMs to me first gets the spots, so hurry up and PM me! Happy singing! I'll post here when someone else joins, so keep a good eye on this forum!

anywayz,

does anyone know where i can find the Best Shots in audio form? I did have them, but they got erased when my computer crashed...i miss them very much. There was a torrent on jpopsuki but its long dead....

also, haha the audience at kouhaku didnt seem to impressed by H!P...i find it funny that all these dapper, prestigious people would want to sit and watch pop performances...

Okay, how do I explain this... Songs like Ami Suzuki's recent style and stuff like Aiko Kayo's "cosmic cosmetics" and MEG's recent stuff. Dance music, but more poppy, if you get what I mean. If you don't, I totally understand.

i dont listen to any of those artists, but when it comes to poppy dance music, the first songs that come to mind for me are Goto Maki's GLASS no PUMPS, Biyuden's FANTASY, and C-ute's Tokkaiko Junjou....a good portion of H!P music fits yur description, so i would suggest listening around to a variety of music to see what fits yur preferences. If yu want electropop, try Goto Maki, Biyuden, and GAM...although it seems GAM is over even though i had the two most overrated girls of H!P in it, they had some awesome songs...THANKS and Junketsu were my favorites...

OOH, i would count THANKS, LU LU LU, and the Amai Yuuwaku album songs as electropop! (all by GAM)

Like Perfume? I can't think of anyone dedicated solely to that.

I see... Well...

Maki Goto/Biyuuden/GAM excel in that kind, but you already like them. LOL.

Let's see...

Kinda like that?

H!P is loaded with "electropop" as you call it. Most of their songs border on dance music, the type of music that sadly went out of fashion by the end of 90s in the west (and in the us, did it ever really hit after the 80s??). With the exception of the medium tempo songs, rockish stuff, the ballads, the enka-ish stuff and hip-pop, it's almost always in that genre. And often, due to the high speed and percussion many of the songs have many traits in common with that genre.

Single a-side songs in that genre (leaving out the ethnicy ones and everthing bordering on something else like the disco beats of dance man):

MM:
Onna ni sachi are
Ambitious
Sexy boy
chokkan 2 (or any chokkan for that matter)
Osaka koi no uta
THE manpower
Go Girl ~koi no victory~

Pucchi moni:
Baby koi ni knockout

mini moni:
Ai~n dance no uta

Ayaya (some of her songs are a little hard to place IMO Cute overload):
Kiseki no Kaori dance (?)
Good Bye Natsuo
(I'm also tempted to mention the bigaku and meccha holiday...)

Maki Goto:
Glass no pumps
Some boys ! touch

Abe natsumi:
THE STRESS remix

Country musume:
Uwaki na Honey Pie

W:
aa ii na
Miss Love Tantei
Ai no Imi wo Oshiete!

biyuuden:
Aisu Kuriimu to My Purin
Issai Gassai Anata ni A.ge.ru
Ajisai Ai Ai Monogatari
Kacchoii ze! JAPAN

GAM (kind of retro but still):
LULULU
Thanks
daisuki rakuten eagles

kirari:
Balalaika

DEF DIVA:
suki sugite baka mitai
Let's go rakuten eagles

I don't know berryz and cutes, but they have some as well.

My favs are Uwaki na honey pie, both DEF DIVA songs and Go Girl koi no victory, but most of these, if not all, are among my favourite H!P songs!

ugh after hearing the original, my hopes for Jingisukan have diminished...its right up the Berryz alley...haha the OO HA sounds a bit too familiar to the OO HA's in Koi no DANCE SITE...could Tsunku have a strange obsession to that group?

OMGGGGG!!!! I just realized where I heard that song!

The main actor in "The Vineyard Man" (Korean drama with Yoon Eun Hye) was always singing that in the drama!!!

He sings it well. Eun Hye is so funny in this video!

@austin: I would recommend "Tokaikko Junjou" too.

That Nihon Rekoodo Taisho performance is TOO AWESOME. Why can't H!P sing live ALL the time? ...unless they like making songs out of their natural range...

^ You should watch "The Vineyard Man".

That C-ute performance wasn't bad. But I still can't stand Airi, Mai and Saki's voices...
