Thanks for your understanding.
Nice! You getting these from utadanet? I never go there..but I've just recently started following her blog on u3music; I have the RSS feed on my Livejournal friend's page now.
She is so cute & funny!

Really hope what you're saying ends up true and they filmed tonight's NY show!

I hope so too....one of these shows NEEDS to be on DVDs....I still feel kinda sad that there was no merchandise on the tour....all I got are tickets and a HOB cap x_x

The Kuma Ball:

More pics:

It is also reported that there were no screens in the venue (can anyone confirm?). So I don't see any reason for the cameras....unless it's for a recording. However, I wouldn't say its 100% gonna be a DVD. It could be just for another press kit if she plans to release anything else in the U.S

Just got back from NYC after seeing Utada In The Flesh haha, and I've got to say that the experience was amazing. I'm not going to review the concert song by song, but just give a general overview of what it felt like.

My friend and I got there pretty early and froze our behinds off until 7 p.m. when we got in (with trips to Starbucks for sustenance and bathroom breaks of course!). We were basically all lying/sitting on the sidewalk till about 2 hrs before the show... shame doesn't exist in icy temperatures, I've decided Our toes, hands, everything were freezing, but we got free hot chocolate from the venue and bought some blankets from a pharmacy nearby.

Anyway after we got in, we got like 4th row spots, and when Utada came on after DJ Rizzo's 45-minute mixfest, everyone just lit up. We were bouncing and bopping to "On and On," and the rest of the music just went great.

The music was really loud in the beginning, and Utada had to compete with it, but it evened out pretty quickly. I think most people were too dazed to even care though, so it was great. Her voice sounded amazing, and she was so lively and fun.

During her MC she noted how NYC was the loudest and liveliest venue (of course ), and I definitely agree. All of us fans cheered her like nobody's business, we sang along to every song, and we literally screamed, clapped and stomped for 5 minutes for the encore. I thought my voice would have been gone by the end of the night.

It was intense. It was amazing. Of course we gave her her time onstage to make us laugh and share her love for the city and her fans. She's so sweet.

Everyone was so lively during the songs, I was glad. All of us were living off of that energy. Whether it was waving our arms to "Apple and Cinnamon" or pounding our fists to "You Make Me Want to Be a Man," as Utada fans I think we felt, united. (I had to say it!) It was really like a workout to do all that, but it was so much fun!

I almost burst into tears during "Simple and Clean" because everyone literally sang their hearts out with Utada, after yelling their lungs out for her to come back on stage.

After the concert we made our way out of the venue and the unlucky ones who did coat check had to join a massive line. Of course, being the creepers we are, me and my friend slipped around to the side entrance where we got... dadadada.... autographs!

It was about 12 of us initially, and though we tried to keep it on the down low, of course those numbers increased to like 25. The security boxed us off with some metal bars, but my friend and I were one of the first ones there so we were at the front. They said no photos (I'm sure some will pop up ), but Utada managed to sign a few things, including my "This Is The One" album cover!

All in all, it was a great night! I got to see one of my favorite artists and really have fun at a concert with a ton of strangers who all felt the same love for Utada. Meeting her briefly and getting her autograph was the icing on the cake.

The autograph got smudged a bit, but no matter! Thought that counts

On another note: Yes, security was a bit tight. They didn't check ID when I went in, but I was in the front section of the line. Cameras were a no-no, and they yelled at a few people who kept using them. Didn't see too much of that happening, but didn't really see what was going on behind me.

BEST NIGHT EVER!

There was one screen upstairs I could see and it was showing what they were recording on the various cameras

I don't know if you saw the link I posted to her blog, but her other brainstorm idea was the Statue of Liberty.
I think both were pretty cool.

Looks like her next signed くまボール designs for the NY show might be one of these two!
I don't think she's decided just yet on which one she wants to do.

In the blog (link above) she has a picture of her two brainstorming ideas. One is clearly based off King Kong (and you can even see, up at the top on her laptop screen in the background, a file with the name "King Kong" in it). The other obviously is based off the Statue of Liberty.

I am so jealous...she is so cute doing all of this for her fans, unique to every show and place she goes to.

just arrived back from the concert...I had such a great time! I was REALLY hoping she would end with COLORS, but she finished with Simple & Clean... but it was still AMAZING.

She had SOOO much energy during Kremlin Dusk...easily one of the best performances.

I dont' think they were recording anything, i think it was just to show different angles of the show to the "vip section" where utada's cousin was. ><

I was on the second floor. negl I spent half the time looking down looking for an "ayu next level" hoodie but to no luck, found nothing lol. I stood next to this one woman who helped translate some japanese things for me when utada spoke in japanese.

The fact that she sung simple and clean, and *part* of sanctuary mixed in with passion completely made my day.

LOL I decided against it...that hoodie needs to get tailored. That damn "one size fits all" definitely does NOT fit all. I'm 5'5 with a 28" waist...I could swim in that damn thing. Other than that...I definitely would have worn it. There were even guys in line hating on ayu...lol so I had to let them know.

OH -- and I DO believe that they were recording...why else would the cameramen walked the crowd outside before the show? When they got to us they asked us all to yell and cheer.

I don't know for sure but every other time that's happened to me at a concert or comedy show, there has been a DVD

I just got back from the NYC show. =__= I'm so freaking tired. I've been awake since 5 am yesterday. D:

I CAUGHT A BALL AT THE CONCERT!

I didn't try to go meet her after the show. I was too exhausted. I chugged three waters in like five minutes, waited in a hotel lobby for the bag check line to shorten and got my stuff and left. I made friends with some Canadians I was in line with all day and we went to Times Square to eat after the concert. It was amazing.

I'll give a full report later...

It was so funny when she said "amerikajin ni makenai deshou!" or something like that lol. she's so freaking cute.

and despite lining up at 4pm (when there was still a bunch of people in front of me), my friend and I got really nice spots! We definitely weren't far from the stage, and I could see Hikki the entire time! (which is rare for me at standing concerts, because I'm so damn short)

were u the one in the in the white collared shirt with the black vest? XP I'm trying to think if maybe I saw you or something. The opening with mike rizzo was suprisingly nice, with all the remixes. the one with paparazzi. was epic! and then he left and we had 20 minutes of filler "80s 90s generic no one has ever heard" songs lol

i got inline around 7. I went to school yesterday, so i didn't get the chance to wait till like 2 am lol.I don't recognize you sorry. when i got inline with my friend, we were infront of the babies r us. which is like a block away. when inside, i was actually tempted to yell out "pieces of seven!!" and see if anyone looked up. (i'm sure everyone would have though to see who the crazy guy was).

Also, when I left the concert someone drove away blasting prisoner of love, i was singing along hehe. i had a blue shirt with a blue jacket, at the end my mom actually pulled right up to the front of the plaza in her white suv. see that? lol If it also helps, i have a huge head of bushy fuzzy fluffy black hair.

HEY! I saw you arrive, I think. I was in line right around the first corner by that Chinese restaurant. xD

I heard people hating on Ayu too. The people I was in line with and I started joking around about how this group of elitist fans would kill anyone who mentioned ayumi hamasaki or god forbid... Kingdom Hearts. xD

[edit]
Here's a picture of me holding the ball I caught!

^did you catch it? or were you one of those people who dove down on the ground and fought for it?

In my part of the line, everyone was silent. They spent like 3 minutes discussing how they thought first love was a really great album, and after that...really nothing.
