Kahi sheds tears while discussing the difficulties of being After School’s leader

After School’s leader Kahi shed tears while confessing that “Being the leader was so difficult“.

The May 20th broadcast of tvN’s “50 Million Questions” saw After School come on set to candidly share their personal stories.

At one point, an expert referred to Kahi and said, “She probably has had greater hardships because she was the leader.” When Kahi heard this, she began to cry as she reminisced on all the hard times.

She revealed,

“Honestly, a while back, there was so much weight to carry as the leader, and the position of leader became very difficult. But lately, I’ve let go of some of the burdens and have taken my members hand-in-hand to get rid of the hardships together.

The time I had to wait to become a singer was long, and so more than anybody else, I suffered from the obsession of having to be successful.“

After hearing Kahi’s heartfelt confession, her fellow members began to tear up as well as they expressed, “By helping leader Kahi-unni, we will turn into a more tightly-knit girl group.”

Meanwhile, this show’s theme revolved around the question of, “If After School is to become the girl group role model in 10 years, what should they do?“. The members talked about their recent heartaches and rumors regarding Bekah’s leave. This program also marked E-Young’s first variety show appearance.

i always admire people who go through all the hardships and obstacles just for their dream. and i say right here that KAHI IS THE BEST LEADER OF ANY GROUP.
AFTER SCHOOL is definitely underrated
people need to see beyond their performances....they're not getting what they deserve at all....

After seeing this, E-Young truly deserves to be part of After School.
I wish Pledis would shine a light on her talents more often. Or bring her on variety programs so that we get to know E-Young better.

She just went on her first variety show yesterday and she played the guitar AND electric guitar. I REALLY WANT TO SEE MORE. I believe we'll see more. This girl is a talented musician gosh...I can see her playing for AS for a long long time.

^E-Young truly is amazing!

A funny incident occured at school today: We were sitting in the classroom and a friend of mine asked me if I had a calculator. I said I didn't but that she could use the one on my cellphone. So I gave her my cellphone and she started calculating or w/e. When she finished, she shut down the calculator and she saw my cell phone background. I have a picture of Nana as my background (the one from the Virgin poster). Upon seeing my background my friend asked me: "Who is this? Omg, is this you?" She actually thought that I was Nana. Or that Nana was me.... xD (you know what I mean)

Anyway I have a friend who doesn't listen to Kpop and when I was watching a shampoo live on my com that day, he was totally electrified by a nana moment hahha!!! He loves her now "prettiest member" he says

It was played during a kpop based tv show! I'm so happy that there's finally this kind of show in Indonesia, the tv producers might have realised the hallyu wave in my country and take advantage of it XD

It would be and there are so many comments that her talent is wasted..
But to be honest, I think After School IS the only group where new talent can be featured and shine, just because they are admitting new members into a an-already prominent group in terms of basic popularity.

If e-young was in some other newly formed band in another company, would people even take as much notice? She may just be another female guitarist..but it is only because of After School, she is standing out amongst other IDOLS
