1st thing that caught my attention in that photo is the gift boxes for both BREAKERZ & Acid Black Cherry members respectively , how cool's that ?

I'm sure a whole series of photos surrounding Acid Black Cherry & BREAKERZ 5th Anniversary Live "Acid BREAKERZ Cherry 69 -sixnine-" will be updated/uploaded in due time but for now , I'm curious to see how the concert will be staged ? :O

Based on bits & pieces I've came across on the net , Acid Black Cherry & BREAKERZ 5th Anniversary Live "Acid BREAKERZ Cherry 69 -sixnine-" sounded as if it was a super big blast with quite a lot of surprise elements thrown in .

All the 3 short news clips covered more or less on the same portions on Acid Black Cherry & BREAKERZ 5th Anniversary Live "Acid BREAKERZ Cherry 69 -sixnine-" & the definite highlight of the concert was when hyde came onstage to sing Acid Black Cherry's Black Cherry

I'm sure this means a lot to both DAIGO & yasu since both of them (let alone both artistes) hold hyde in extremely super duper high regard & there was a strong crowd of 13,000 fans at yesterday's once in a lifetime concert .

Also , seeing DAIGO & yasu singing BREAKERZ's BAMBINO ~Bambino~ is just very xD xD xD . Something is wrong in this picture but both of them were able to make things worked hahahaha

And I really like it when both artistes sang Acid Black Cherry's Cherry Cherry as it's 1 of my fave tracks & it's a great song done live .

Likewise , it's great that BREAKERZ did/sang RUSTY HEARTS which's the 1st time they premiered their new track onstage .

Tokyohive - hyde makes a surprise appearance at “Acid BREAKERZ Cherry” live event



On January 9th, live event “Acid Black Cherry & BREAKERZ 5th Anniversary Live ‘Acid BREAKERZ Cherry 69-sixnine-’“ was held at Nippon Budokan. This was the live event to commemorate the 5th anniversary since Acid Black Cherry (ABC) and BREAKERZ‘ debut.

The event proceeded in an unique way as there were two band sets on the stage, and ABC and BREAKERZ took turns performing their songs.

With shouts of joy which were almost like roars, ABC and BREAKERZ appeared at opposite ends of the stage. They slowly walked up to each other, and the event started with a firm handshake between yasu and DAIGO.



First, ABC performed the hard tune “Murder License“, and BREAKERZ started with “BIG BANG!” With both of their performances following after one another in rapid succession, it didn’t take too long for the audience to build up in excitement.



During the MC for ABC, yasu revealed that the red scarf in his chest pocket was actually women’s underwear, and made the audience laugh as he said that it didn’t help absorbing his sweat at all. However, the friendly atmosphere suddenly changed when he started the rock ballad “Yes” as the audience was intoxicated by the performance.

Soon after was BREAKERZ’ time. DAIGO expressed his deep gratitude for the event, and performed the heartwarming ballad “Hikari“, then the band showed the performance to “RUSTY HEARTS“, their upcoming single that is scheduled for release on January 16th.



After the introduction for all the members, there was also a segment of the band ensemble in which all 10 people performed together.

ABC and BREAKERZ then once again showed their performances taking turns, and finally the main part of the live event ended with BREAKERZ’ “DESTROY CRASHER 2012.”

During the encore, yasu and DAIGO sang “Nemuri Hime” together, followed by “Overwrite.”

After the performance, DAIGO took out his phone to take a photo of the venue, and revealed that hyde of L’Arc~en~Ciel was visiting the event, saying, “Look, yasu-san! There is an unexpected appearance of god in the photo!” This special surprise elated and excited the audience.

yasu then said to hyde, who was sitting on the seat, “hyde-san, you wanna come up? We won’t ask you to give us a comment of congratulation,” and hyde appeared on the stage saying, “It felt like I was watching TV, and someone on the TV started talking to me.” yasu also requested hyde to perform on stage, which hyde first rejected, commenting, “You know I’m still in the middle of my winter break. My work didn’t start yet,” but when “Black Cherry” started playing, he performed the song, which of course, livened up the audience.

Requests for a double encore did not stop even after the last encore song “SUMMER PARTY“. In order to answer the fans’ passionate love, the 10 people appeared again on the stage, and performed “DRAGON CARNIVAL” as a present.

Lastly, they gave a deep bow to the audience while holding each other’s hands, and ended the over-3-hour event.

Further more details been updated/added on with regards to the impending 5 handshake event dates for RUSTY HEARTS & this time round , it includes both the starting and ending timing for each handshake event date in each prefecture respectively .

With regards to 3rd March's event that will be held at Fukuoka , the designated venue has now been included .

I think this's the 1st time I've seen the guys revealed the rough estimated time schedule for a handshake event ? I'm surprised for all 5 dates , they're pretty generous with the time being allocated ie. over 2 hours long for each session .

Then again with this being their last handshake event before their impending hiatus in March , it's understood & it's better than nothing too

Despite this , I do hope that RUSTY HEARTS will fare OK next week . I'm quite certain it will be top 10 but given that this will be their last single before going on hiatus , probably top 5 ?

BREAKERZ Official Perfect Book BREAKERZ CHRONICLE 2007-2012 is pretty much sold out in every online site but for the time being , CDJapan is the only channel medium that still has stock on the book .

Something tells me that in due time , it will be listed as out of print once again & can't be helped since it's an amazing book that document the guys's early days from 2007 until 2012

The purchase of BREAKERZ Official Perfect Book BREAKERZ CHRONICLE 2007-2012 via CDJapan does not include a pair of postcards unlike what CD Data , Musing & Lawson / HMV / L-PACA BOOKS gave as early preorder bonus items .

On 4th Jan , the guys were invited as special guests to perform at Tokyo Dome (it was their 1st time performing at Tokyo Dome somemore ) which the wrestling competition Bushimo Presents WRESTLE KINGDOM 7 ~EVOLUTION~ took place at the venue .

Bushimo Presents WRESTLE KINGDOM 7 ~EVOLUTION~ in Tokyo Dome is the very same event in which RUSTY HEARTS's B-side CHALLENGERZ was picked to promote the event alongside with it being used currently as the new song to promote in the ads of Cardfight !! Vanguard .



In the above YouTube clip , the guys's live performance of CHALLENGERZ happened in the 5:38 min mark & after they have finished performing the song , DAIGO took to the stand as 1 of the commentors x)

As for their live performance of CHALLENGERZ , I like it & such a pity it's only a B-side in RUSTY HEARTS as it has plenty of potential to be an A-side

I so can't imagine how a PV for CHALLENGERZ will work out at all hahaha
