Eh. It seems that her 'popularity' began to rise as she began to shed her clothes yanno? I mean, other than that, was much attention paid to her? Oi.

And the reason I don't say the same thing about Ayu is that she never really had anything overly sexual. :/ She's had some terrible clothing disasters and makeup mishaps.. but she's pretty tame otherwise. Unless you count thouse one-time S&M photoshoots. xD

Are you kidding me? She was popular way before. If she wasn't that popular before, avex wouldn't let her perform at a-nation with other top-selling artists years before she supposedly "shed her clothes." If you think that only her "sexy" image sells, think of how much people bought flower and Promise/Star. If Koi no Tsubomi does well too, it means that her "cutesy" image sell too.

The reason you never say those things about Ayu is because you're over-optimistic about Ayu. But everytime something goes wrong with her(ie. nonideal sales), you'd always bring Ku up and put her down even though it'd always end up irrelevant to whatever we're discussing.

I'm NOT being over optimistic about Ayu. Maybe you're being too overly optimistic about Koda. I mean, what is the sexiest thing Ayu's done besides that one S&M photoshoot, my name's WOMEN, and the AT2005 performance of that song? ('topless' photoshoots shouldn't count since those are just covers and she doesn't really do anything other than stay stationary)

I'd be tired of that too if someone kept 'bashing' someone I liked. But sometimes, there's no stopping it. And it'd be best to either ignore it or block my posts :[ I feel the same way when people talk crap about Ayu, but I have to deal too. :3 It's the people who don't know anything about Ayu who hate her who make me mad..

I dislike Koda, but I know a lot about her. I've researched and all that... I don't hate her for no reason. She just pushed my buttons, you know? And it's a bit hard to resist sometimes :p
I will seriously stop with the Koda talk, as the BEST is long gone now... which hopefully is not succeeded by yet another x.x Oi.

I have always disliked MM, though I think it is funny that this being a thread about dislikes that people are fighting back when someone disagrees with them,As far as Koda Kumi goes, I used to not really like her but her music and singing have improved a lot, last year at A-Nation she had the best performance except for Ayu, and that is only because Ayu was the headliner and had more stage time, and whoever said that Ayu never did anything sexual should take another look at the "Because of you" PV that borders on "whorish" but I think that everyone has their image to serve their purpose which is to sell music, and make money, If i thought that either of them were trying to do anything "deeper" in meaning than that I would be a fool.

Heh, the only people who voted for Morning Musume must be the people that haven't really given them a fair chance. I couldn't stand them at first either, but that is only because I was predisposed to hating them. The entire Hello Project actually has some very good songs though once you get into them.

Well I marked Morning Musume because their music has clearly degraded from what it once was. I loved what they were before, I was a huge fan of their earlier work... but as of lately their music has become a joke. They come out with a good piece once in a while (that Roman something song) but overall I just cannot stand them anymore.

I also marked Kuu not because she has used her body to sell herself but because her music quality has clearly declined. At the rate she is pumping out music I can see why but that fact she is just to sell and sell makes me dislike her. I miss Kuu.

Well, duh, it's not JUST Ayu, but all the music is what makes her...her. Same with Morning Musume. What am I to dislike about them other than music? Even if the artists look like crap this year (i.e: Morning Musume and Ayumi), I take music into account more, and both Morning Musume and Ayumi have released nothing but bad music all year.
