I liked Britney when she first came out up until Toxic, after that, everything was just, bleh it's her again...so...

All I have to say is, after seeing what little I did see of her performance, she IS NOT ready for a comeback. She could have, and probably SHOULD have, said NO to doing this. Her dancing was not even REAL dancing...she was, excuse my language, half-assing it...and not even singing live on your COMEBACK performance?

Maybe before this performance, yeah, she had a chance. But tbh that girl is really off the deep end; I'm not even saying it to be mean--it's because it's true.

-SMOKING AROUND HER KIDS
-That completely pathetic Dateline interview
-Beating on an SUV with an umbrella
-Spilling food on an expensive dress during a magazine shoot
-LIPSYNCING FOR HER SUPPOSEDLY BIG COMEBACK
-Not even making an effort to dance
-All those really sad performances she did at the end of May (the ones where she also lipsang + barely danced + wore terribly embarrassing outfits).

She also was supposed to work with really big name producers like Timbaland and Pharrell Williams for her album but she supposedly ditched them. She's pretty much ruining her own career. She's had more time that she probably needs to clean herself up, get her act together and REALLY make a comeback if she was actually in her right mind.

As of this point, I consider her a complete trainwreck. I knew that she was rather nutty but I have to admit that I thought there was a slight chance she could be big again with this VMA live but now? Nope. You have to look at the way she behaved---no matter how messed up you are, if you still have drive/determination, you can pick yourself up. She had neither. She *walked* around the stage. She barely made an effort to put on a good show. At this point it looks like she herself doesn't want to be big again. =\

I think it's nice that you're optimistic and all, and I'm not saying it's completely impossible, but I would be very surprised if she manages to be as big as she was a few years ago.

I really though her comeback would of been better and different than it was. I though that she would do more cleaner stuff since she is a mom now, but i guess not. I hated the nasty dancing and the pole dancing her back up dancers did at the vma. not very grown up to do at a awards show. She need to be a good role model for her kids.



well, i think britney is ok but i stopped liking her when I'm a Slave 4 U came out.
I miss the old britney. I hate how all teen pop stars always become sex-symbols as soon as they hit 18 or 19. Its all about how sexy and nasty you can be or become. It's not about the music anymore.

i think MTV knew that even if she sucked,people would still see it just to see it. And i think they got what they wanted. MTV probably knows shes not that good anymore, but its all about hype. And Britney singing and dancing again (or whatever she did) is big hype.

I think this girl needs therapy. Seriously. Maybe this sounds rude to some of her fans, but her behaviour isn't normal. namiie already pointed out some of it. But there was more. Like saying to her mother that she doesn't want her around, because she - meaning the mother - supposedly had an affair with Kevin!!
I'm not into her and probably never will be, though she has had some enjoyable songs, but I think Brit should have waited with the comeback. I mean, Mariah Carey also had a breakdown, but managed to make a comeback after all.

MTV hasn't been music television for years. What does the Hils have anything to do with music? or Super Sweet Sixteen? MTV should change their name to RTV for Reality Television.

I heard the same thing. I think Britney pushed her away because she was trying to tell Britney that she was going in the wrong direction. If that's true, then it's a shame she shunned her away.

I think that they should do that INTERVENTION thing (It's a documentary show on a channel called A&E....It's so moving!) It'll prolly really do some damage control on Brit's dwindling career.
