Just about every channel I turn to depicts MJ's death or shows MV clips. It still has not sunk in that he's gone. When they broadcast his funeral next week maybe the shock will finally hit me.

Don't worrry, I'm also like that. It was so sudden. I had just bought a new cell phone and put some of his music on it this week. I was really wondering when a new song or album would pop up. I was sort of saddened that it was kinda being said that his come back would actually just be a goodbye, but then, with the kinds of surprises he's always liked to pull, I still had my hopes he'd come back for good. He has died but he hasn't. I'm surely his music will live on forever. Still it is pretty sad to know he's now gone.

I can't believe he's gone, he was a legend

They've been playing his songs on the radio all day.

Well, I just heard the 911 call where the person calling says that the personal doctor is with Michael and that Michael isn't responding to CPR, but he also says that Michael is on the bed......Ok what kind of crappy assed doctor is that? In order for CPR to be most effective, it can't be done on a soft surface.

Maybe Michael liked sleeping on a hard bed? (I doubt it though lol but who knows..)...the doctor could also have placed a hard board under Michael's body. It's hard to judge and draw conclusions without looking at it.

Wouldn't it just be faster to put him on the floor though?

I believe it's better for the doctor to do the CPR while standing up. It's an extremely tiring/exhausting maneuver that requires you to position correctly and I have a feeling it gets harder if you are kneeling on the floor (could be wrong though). I've heard from doctors who did on the ER floor (though I didn'tget to ask them if it was the same thing, easier or harder), but that's because the ER was already full of patients and there were no more beds. I've never done CPR on the floor though so I can't really tell personally if it's harder/more uncomfortable though.

Well, of course neither of us were there so there could have been any number of variations. Standing probably is easier, but only makes sense if the person is lying on something hard. It just seems very odd to me that in the 911 call he says the doctor is trying to revive him on the bed - I mean the first rule of CPR basically is to make sure the person is lying on something hard. Bottom line though, what happened, happened.

CPR on the bed What the...

and now it's being said...

Further toxicology testing. 4-6 more weeks of waiting for the final report. No indication of trauma or foul play. A hold has been placed on the investigation so only selected info is released. They know he was taking some prescription meds.

I think it would be very hard to do CPR on a bed...I mean, how would you even know if what you were doing was effective if he kept like...going down with each movement?

It is exhausting though...

I heard a rumour that he had a nervous breakdown or something no one knows about? Has anyone else heard this?

The Demerol thing is disturbing. Ugh...I hate when people can't die in freaking peace.

Then again, I have been crying all day yesterday, haven't gotten any sleep just drifted in and out and cried most of today, until a little while ago because my eyes burn and I'm exhausted. I can't imagine how his family is doing...

I wish people would just let the man rest. Why are people so cruel?

This breaks my heart.

I couldn't believe it when I heard it on the radio yesterday.

I'm worried about his kids. I honestly hope his parents are not the ones that will be taking care of them...

so...was this posted yet?

Quote:
As Hollyscoop had previously reported, Michael Jackson had physician's visiting him at his rented Holmby Hills home every day, but the physician that injected him right before he collapsed has gone missing.

Moments before Michael went into cardiac arrest, he was injected with a high dose of Demerol, presumably by his personal physician.

And now that same physician has gone missing. According to TMZ, the doctors black BMW was towed from Jackson's rented home late last night and he is nowhere to be found.

so apparently, his physician who gave him demerol is missing...

Well, looks like the LAPD will be on a wild goose chase looking for the blundering fool. Killing my childhood idol. Serves him right.

People be careful for not drawing conclusions and accusing this and that without solid proofs. That's actually what has always haunted MJ's personal life, with people taking judgement on him before knowing the facts (I mean he put it well on "she's just a girl - claims that I'm the one, but the kid is not my son") , like pople assuming "MJ caught with a kid = pedophile". It's really no different to draw conclusions like this accusing before having further proofs.

I still wonder why the heck would MJ be on high doses of opioids. In the medical context, the main illness that would jsutify that would be an advanced cancer. Still quite weird why the heck was he put under meperidine (demerol) which has been getting obsolete among doctors because it has frustrating pain killing properties and an excessive potential of causing addictiveness. MJ has the money to pay for doctors who know meperidine is not the best approach when you want to treat someone with intolerable pain, unless you want to have problems with a drug addict visiting you in the ER every day with "unbearable pain" (addiction) that only gets better if they fulfill their abstinence with meperidine. What makes it even scarier is not only he needs these opioids drugs but also why do they have to be injected (instead of PO) without being put under medical observation for serious adverse effects like respiratory arrest in the next minutes after administration. MJ was rather gloomy recently and even implying that his death was close. I wonder if he had been diagnosed with any terminal illness.
