“Arashi have forgotten their Johnny’s heart” says TOKIO

TOKIO’s Taichi Kokubun (33) and Shigeru Joshima (39) will be the first Johnny’s seniors to appear on Arashi’s “嵐にしやがれ (Arashi ni Shiyagare)” show on August 21. The two will be teaching Arashi what it means to be a real Johnny’s talent.

Here is a list of the show’s highlights as reported by テレビドガッチ:

- In the rumors talk, Joshima will respond to statements released that no one knows where he lives, and that he goes over-the-top with disguises in public.

- ジャニーズルールを思い出しやがれ! (Remember your Johnny’s rules!). Kokubun and Joshima will teach Arashi about how to call their Johnny’s seniors, and to write their names on their underwear.

- ジャニーズ料理作りやがれ! (Cook Johnny’s meals!). TOKIO’s gourmet king Kokubun will have a fried rice making competition with Arashi’s Jun Matsumoto. Hattori Nutrition College president and food commentator Yukio Hattori will be the competition’s judge.

- ジャニーズゲームしやがれ! (Play Johnny’s games!). Arashi and TOKIO will compete with one another in a series of variety show games Johnny’s talents have played in the past. This includes ‘guess the Johnny’s song’ and ‘giant balloon explosion’ games.

Tackey & Tsubasa announce concert dates

The last single that the duo released was in June of 2008 with “Koiuta/Progress”, that sold over 100K copies. While fans worried that the duo might not be coming back, Tackey mentioned earlier to not worry and that they will be back… together.

Tackey & Tsubasa have announced six concert dates, two per month starting in October in Nagoya and ending in December in Yokohama.

Johnny's net has updated recently and has the concert information for the Tackey & Tsubasa concert tour Tackey had mentioned during his solo concert tour.

The tour for the duo will begin in October and go through early November and they will be visiting three cities, Nagoya, Kobe and Yokohama.

SMAP’s Nakai to sing solo on TV for first time

On August 31 SMAP’s Masahiro Nakai (38) will sing solo on TV for the first time, it was revealed today reports Oricon.

The SMAP leader will sing his solo song “Memory ~June~” on “The Music Hour”, a show that he and Takaaki Ishibashi (48) have been hosting.

The song is one found on SMAP’s latest album “We are SMAP!”, which was released on July 21. Nakai himself wrote the music, lyrics, and arrangements to the song.

I know vocally , Nakai is the worst in SMAP xD but the fact that he did everything hands on for his solo song , that's something worth commending I guess

Koichi Domoto to star in Kansai Yamamoto's version of "Seven Samurai"

Fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto (66) is putting together a stage production called the "KANSAI SUPER SHOW: Shichinin no Samurai," based on Akira Kurosawa's famous 1954 film "Shichinin no Samurai" ("Seven Samurai"). KinKi Kids member Koichi Domoto (31) will star as the character Kikuchiyo, who was originally played by legendary actor Toshiro Mifune.

Yamamoto has apparently been preparing this production for the past three years. Although it is based on the Kurosawa movie, he explained that it will be set in the present day and that the method of expression will be completely different. It is being reported that Yamamoto plans to make it a 90-minute "spectacle show" with no lines of dialogue.

The rest of the "seven samurai" will be played by Akira Emoto (61), Riisa Naka (20), kickboxer Masato (31), Dachou Club's Ryuhei Ueshima (49), Olympic gymnast Yukio Iketani (39), and dancer Kaiji Moriyama (36). However, the entire cast is said to consist of 500 people.

Yamamoto has designed "samurai fashion" costumes for the show, which will be complemented by lots of visual effects from water to fire to wire-flying. It will be performed at the Ariake Coliseum on November 20-21, with an anticipated total audience of 32,000. However, Yamamoto is hoping to have the show performed overseas as well.
