but i might dissappoint everyone this time....
When the news of the release was out, i'm working and by the time i reach home, the box set was already sold out at CDJ, i end up getting it from YesAsia, so i doubt i can get it before the release date....

coz normally i used EMS from cdjapan and they arrive like on the release date or 1 day before the release date.

They weren't hoarding... to be honest, it's things like that that make people not want to share in the first place, haha.

Honestly, if the people who hold on to the files without sharing really cared about ayu and piracy hurting her sales, they would delete the file/not download it in the first place. Plus, piracy promotes music, but that's a different issue all together

I'm 99% sure the covers are gonna get a lot of hate.. there's huge hype around this album, at least on this forum, and I just don't see it hold up to the giant expectations

True. It's like... Rock'n'Roll Circus could be her best visual/musical album yet, but the covers and title might completely turn people off a la (miss)understood. It feels a lot like when (miss)understood released, except instead of the singles being what was so great about it, it's the album tracks that are catching everyone's attention...

^In my digital recording class today, we had to present an artist we liked (I did utada. yay!) and some girl did a country/folk singer from the 70s. I think her last name is Ian. but I don't remember, and they talked about how when the internet was popular, she had all her music available for free download. and although people were outraged by it, it actually boosted her sales.

maybe not. Since this time the covers are shot by ND Chow and his photoshoots of ayu are never horrible.
The members are just happy that if it's kazu, there's 90% of getting a horrible shot, compare to ND chow

Since this time the covers are shot by ND Chow and his photoshoots of ayu are never horrible.

You might not remember this, but there was a teeny bit of a backlash against both glitter/fated and the 2008 calendar, both shot by ND CHOW in some of his final "works" with Ayu... he's capable of amazing stuff, but I would say that his most recent work (done in 2007) with Ayu was not loved all that much. -sigh-

They're responsible for getting that kind of reaction for not being fair to their fellow fans... I'm sorry, but defending their actions is just as horrible as the actions themselves...

Not being fair? I don't think the world of pirating/illegal downloading should ever be associated with the word "fair"... aie. Not to say that I don't download, but you take what you can get and don't whine about not getting something as quickly as someone else, because somehow, sooner or later, you will eventually get it. It's not like Ayu is some sort of unknown artist who only sells 10 copies a week... what's the use of getting so riled up when you have to wait just one or two more days to get some files when someone had to work hours (or days/weeks?) to pay for what you're downloading for free? I don't really understand it.

IMO, when it comes to downloads, you should be happy with what you're given and not have this "I am entitled to these downloads because I am a fellow fan as well!" attitude.

I think no matter what there is going to be x-number of fans *itching about something or another, AHS has lots of drama lol. I honestly have pretty high hopes for this album. I became a fan of hers in 2005 before fairyland came out, and my first album was (miss)understood. Though I still really like that album, I think NEXT LEVEL surpasses (m)u, Secret, and GUILTY for me. The flow of NEXT LEVEL is really excellent and I think another reason I love it is because there isn't some random summer single xD. As much as I like Sunrise (though BLUE BIRD is my fav. of the more recent summer singles) I have no idea how that's going to be incorperated into an album that has "Rock'n'Roll" and "Circus" in the title lol. I just hope that she does continues to make better music and blows NL out of the water!

i do remember glitter covers, but i find them prettier compare to.... S/S and some of her 'fish mouth' mag photoshoots.
At least i feel more secure that it's ND, in my point of view, he have more nicer shoots then kazu did.

Don't worry, this is AHS... even if the photographer is God, expect some drama and complaints.

Anyway... I read a comment a few pages about "5 hours!!!" and I thought the concert's gonna start in 5 hours omg what an overtly-obsessed Ayu fan I am!

But when it really starts a month later, are kind angels like Misa & SunshineSlayer gonna post their reviews and opinions?

I would say that his bad shoots have already gone by with Ayu. Marilyn Monroe and the weird-eyed carousel shoot... I dunno what happened, but whoever edited the photos probably got fired.

What? Already been scheduled? I don't know what you mean by that. Somehow, I feel as though the 10 tracks they talk about were the ones finished before and after London, and she's still working on recording more tracks in Japan at the moment.

maybe she's just doing some final mixing/editing...

Last time when that happened, we got a full rundown of what mixing and mastering was, haha. [Days/GREEN, I think... Deli translated it.]

Well there has been news that she's still doing recording now (?) in Japan... but the word recording is REALLY general... maybe she's just doing some final mixing/editing... I honestly hope we get more than 14 tracks cos I feel such a strong MY STORY vibes from this album that 14 tracks... seem too little!
