I predicted about a 200K for the first week, and secretly hoping for a 400K at least... but if this (horrible) miracle continues, I dun even think it can survive over 100K..

What's going on...?

I think the reason for low sales just because the album was released a day before the actual date ! no need to worry , she's Utada Hikaru , she will easily hit 1 mil mark or at least 800k ^^!

I think it's because of the whole release day thing. It's a public holiday, AND it's not a regular release day. I think albums are usually released on Wednesdays aren't they?

Besides, I don't know what kind of public holiday it is, but perhaps regular stores are closed so the sales number we have now is only from the 24/7 convenient stores and online pre-orders or whatever.

Sales will rise tomorrow, I have confidence!

What do you mean it's not bad? It's terrible. Worse than terrible. 100k is terrible for an Utada Hikaru best album, imho.

but anyways just because it doesn't sell over 100k doesn't make the songs bad.

have you heard of this chick...i think her name is utada...something. hikaru! that's it. she has always had these crazy sales that blow everyone else out of the water, for every.single.one. of her releases. you should check her out

We have to be aware that there's a holiday (Labour Thanksgiving, Japan's own Thanksgiving), and the sales might have altered a bit...

Please don't put up such an attitude towards me.

I'm not "making excuses" or implying the songs are now bad because they haven't sold much the first day. I was simply trying to think of what IN THE WORLD could have caused such low sales for her! She is HUGE! Even freaking boku wa kuma sold 147k, you'd expect an epic Single Collection with 4 AMAZING NEW TRACKS (and 1 not-so-amazing new track) to sell at least that amount the first day? First day sales are usually the highest sales of an album in Japan.

I hope in her case that honor will be for the second day sales.

And don't get me wrong I still love the song and I still love her and I personally couldn't care less how much she sells, I'm just SURPRISED.
