just checked her discography, she has 68 singles and 46 albums. she should sell alot with that amount of singles and albums

Finally, we have waited a long time... The first new single after label switch.

It will be the theme song for the "チーム・バチスタ２：ジェネラル・ルージュの凱旋" (Team Batista 2: General Rouge no Gaisen) drama. A very good tie-in. The series is a continuation to the popular "チーム・バチスタの栄光" (Team Batista no Eikou) from 2008. The first series had a viewership rating of 13.2% in average, which is quite decent for todays standards. It has been 14 years since Seiko did a drama theme song. Last time was Sayonara no Shunkan for "Dearウーマン" (Dear Woman) back in 1996. I'm super excited.

The Fuji TV drama "General Rouge no Gaisen" premieres on 4/6. So, we will get a preview of the song a month in advance.

"Ikutsu no Yoake wo Kazoetara" will have a PV.

^ Since 2008/10/22 with the release of "Ano Kagayaita Kisetsu". It will be 18 months and two weeks to be exact. We have been waiting long because, so far, 2009 was the only year ever in her career that she did not put out a single. Between 1980-2008 she released at least one annually. In 2008 she even put out three singles. I'm still extremely excited for this new drama tie-in.

The new (hilarious) "Yazima Beauty Salon" PV is here. Shame that it is only two minutes in length. How do you like it? At first, I wasn't very fond of the song, but it is definitely grown on me a lot now. Sounds a bit like the good old 80s Japanese idol music. The PV was premiered on the 3/25 episode of "Tunnels no Minasan Okagedeshita". The single release date is set for 4/21, which is eight days before the movie opens in theaters.

Seiko as guest star in a popular US drama series.

Noriko Kanda as Riku Iwanaga.

Yes, for some reason, several sources seem to credit her as "Noriko Kanda". Quite interesting considered that her real name is Noriko, and her surname used to be Kanda (1985-1997). Her daughter is named Kanda. I'm curious to see if that will end up as official or not. If you live in US, please tune in on FOX to watch.

2010.04.06 - Team Batista 2 ~ General Rouge no Gaisen
First episode of the new drama with "Ikutsu no Yoake wo Kazoetara" as the theme song. Airs 22:00 JST on NTV. I will watch it as soon as possible.

edit: just watched the episode on the web. Never liked bones and I sure don't like it now. But Seiko looked amazing and so beautiful. She sounds so sexy in the very beginning with the big words xD. Really hope she can come back later or have a recurrent role which she could given the part she had in the series.

Love when her name appeared =D.

Now I shall wait till I can see it on my TV.
