Is it bad that I really like that fan cover a page back? XD; It'd be neat to see someone on the cover with Ayu for the first time. That, and I just love that picture. ♥ (Her windswept hair, the graininess, etc~.)
I wouldn't mind everything coming late. I think it helps build suspense! : D And I think that the chances of Dream ON's covers and promotion coming first is also pretty likely. |

I think that fan cover is a lot better than her Secret AND NEXT LEVEL covers lol And in any case, I think people have reason to hate on those covers.

^The composition for the NEXT LEVEL covers is awful. The lines/shapes just dont fit very well. The text was messily placed, but that's because of the bad composition of the photos in the first place...the photoshop is also awful, and well, yeah, I guess it does "fit"...but she doesn't look THAT great.
I mean, I guess the outfit is fine, but I could definitely see how people would hate it. For Secret, people complained about the photoshop again, the messy work, the star brush, and how it looks cheap, and I think in the full body cover, the photoshop again was like "wtf". She looked good on that cover though...and the inside booklet is great. So, mostly, I guess, it's the photoshop work by the art dept that ruins those covers for people.

^Ah I get you. I totally agree about Secret, I find it to be one of her most boring covers overall. Buuut, I like the all-over-the-place-ness of NEXT LEVEL. To me it fits.
And I think she looks great, aside from the cover where she's leaning back

^ i don't like only the "cheap" theme of it. Ayu and sparkling diamonds. Lots of diamonds! DIAMONDS!! SWEET JESUS LOOK AT THEM. But overrall, it's a good cover/booklet. Maybe not the cover (SPARKLES SPARKLES LOOK AT THEM - the photos ARE GREAT but the combination of SPARKLES AGAIN it's just cheap.) but the photo work on booklet pics are great, she looks very sexy and pretty. I just don't like that there sooo maaaany SPARKLING.
the booklet of NL is her worst booklet. right after (miss)understood booklet - but photobooks compensates me the horrible "on rush" photos in (miss) booklet. OH SO MANY BOOKLET WORD. Last edited by pepper; 21st November 2010 at 02:17 AM. |

she looks amazing in all of the NL covers except the 2cd+dvd and I LOVE love love the Secret covers. Secret CD+DVD is her best CD cover in my opinion. I never would have guessed anyone could hate that haha.

I find the NL covers quite good though. Not her best, but not that awful and terrible.
They're one of her few covers that matches almost perfectly with the album theme imho. Many bright colors, televisions, electricity. Although the inside pics were kinda messy lol, especially the big-boobie outfit .And, I can say the same for Secret covers. May be they've failed harder with photoshop in CD only cover. But the CD+DVD is really gorgeous.

I think I almost like the fact that Ayu's album covers usually have some kind of flaw. I don't think she's had any cover where I was like, "OH MY GOD THOSE COVERS ARE BEAUTIFUL," unlike other artists who I think have many amazing covers. But this makes Ayu special to me. It reminds me that she's human. That her design team is composed of humans. That everything about her is the result of human power and determination. It's kind of like her way of saying, "I'm not a singing machine. I am a human and I am where I am thanks to humanity". I see it as a revolt against the idea depicted in the alterna PV.
But that's just me and my Literature major-ness talking . I over-analyze everything.
